Description

Return Microfiber Filter Elements MP Filtri (Series S): Advanced Hydraulic Protection

The Return Microfiber Filter Elements MP Filtri (Series S) represent a high-level technological solution for safeguarding hydraulic systems. Since contamination from solid particles is the primary cause of malfunction in hydraulic systems, these elements are designed to intercept and retain impurities, ensuring system efficiency and longevity.

Operating Principle and Filtration Standards

Filtration is based on the mechanical depth filtration method, using overlapping layers of inorganic microfibers that trap solid particles within pathways of different shapes and sizes. This architecture ensures high solid contaminant retention capacity while maintaining excellent low pressure drop characteristics. The filter media performance is certified according to the ISO 16889 Multi-pass test, confirming an absolute filtration ratio Beta x(c) > 1000. Available filtration ratings range from 5 micron (code A03) up to 21 micron (code A25), providing precise options based on fluid cleanliness requirements.

Structural Features and MYclean Technology

The filter element structure consists of seven overlapping layers to optimize strength and performance. The outer section includes a PET tube and a metal mesh that protect the pleated media during assembly and from inlet pressure. The primary microfiber filter media is supported by synthetic fiber layers such as polyester. Internally, a support metal mesh—available in stainless steel or carbon steel with epoxy resin coating—works in synergy with a reinforced perforated tube to prevent collapse under pressure. The system also integrates the exclusive MYclean technology, featuring a polygonal connection and dedicated gasket, ensuring the exclusive use of original spare parts for enhanced reliability.

Series S Specifications and Application Areas

Series S identifies the element type (Type A) intended for high-pressure lines. Thanks to the pleated filter media and heavily reinforced inner tube, the Return Microfiber Filter Elements MP Filtri (Series S) provide excellent differential pressure collapse resistance (Delta P = 210 bar / 3000 psi). Due to these structural characteristics, their use is required in filters without a bypass valve (but with a check valve) and in reverse flow circuits. They are fully compatible with high-pressure filter series FMP, FHP, FHA 051, FHM, FHB, FHD and FMM, as well as stainless steel filters FZD and FZP. Each component is designed in compliance with hydraulic industry standards, including ISO 2941 for collapse pressure and ISO 2943 for material compatibility.
