The AMI 12C Directional Control Valve is a high-performance modular valve, configurable with a variable number of sections ranging from 1 to 10 elements. Its architecture is designed to ensure maximum installation flexibility within hydraulic circuits, featuring a left-hand inlet as standard. However, thanks to the reversible spool, the system can be inverted to provide a right-hand inlet according to system requirements. The component features negative spool overlap, optimizing flow control and ensuring greater precision during switching operations.<\/p>\n

Construction and Performance Features<\/h3>\n

Designed to withstand heavy-duty operating conditions in hydraulic applications, this directional control valve handles a nominal flow rate of 120 l\/min, with a maximum operating pressure of 250 bar and a maximum return back pressure of 80 bar. Internal leakage is minimized: maximum spool leakage at 100 bar is only 21 ml\/min (measured during tests at a temperature of 50\u00b0C and with a viscosity of 27 CST). The operating temperature range extends from -30\u00b0C up to a maximum of 80\u00b0C, making the valve suitable for applications exposed to significant temperature variations. Upon request, the entire valve block can undergo an anti-rust treatment to extend its service life.<\/p>\n

Safety and Pressure Control<\/h3>\n

The directional control valve is equipped as standard with a maximum pressure relief valve, which can be fully adjusted by the operator within a range of 30 to 250 bar, providing active protection against pressure overloads within the system. For additional circuit protection, a dedicated one-way check valve is integrated into each individual section to prevent abnormal fluid backflow. Pressure drop tests (from inlet to outlet, from work ports to outlet, and from inlet to work ports) were carried out using hydraulic oil with a viscosity of 4\u00b0E at an operating temperature of 50\u00b0C, confirming the high stability of the module.<\/p>\n

Circuit Configurations and Connections<\/h3>\n

The hydraulic connection and control options provide extensive technical versatility. Supported hydraulic configurations include standard parallel distribution, standard series distribution, and parallel distribution with Carry-Over provision (pressure line continuation). Standard work port threads include P1-P2 and A-B ports with 3\/4″ BSP connections, while T1, T2 and STC ports feature 1″ BSP connections. Modified inlet threads for P1-P2 ports (1″ BSP) are available upon request. In addition, dedicated pilot controls are available for integration into automated systems, in both pneumatic (1\/8″ BSP) and hydraulic (G1\/4″) configurations.<\/p>\n
