Grices CHM Series Hydraulic Cylinders feature a compact tie-rod construction with square end caps, specifically designed to comply with the international ISO 6020\/2-1991 and DIN 24554 standards<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>This series is suitable for all types of industrial applications, providing a continuous nominal pressure of up to 12 MPa and withstanding a maximum pressure of 16 MPa<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>The range includes bore sizes from 25 to 100 mm and strokes of up to 4000 mm, with single-rod or double-rod configurations and up to three piston rod diameters available for each bore size<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>Its exceptional versatility is demonstrated by the availability of 13 different mounting types for mechanical installation<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Operating Principle and Position Detection<\/h3>\n

The series achieves optimal operation through a cylinder body, or barrel, made of non-magnetic stainless steel and an aluminium-alloy piston equipped with an integrated permanent magnet<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>This specific architecture allows the proximity sensors to detect the piston rod position with exceptional precision during operation<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>The sensors are installed directly on the tie rods using dedicated brackets, allowing flexible positioning along the entire cylinder stroke<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>When the sensor detects the piston\u2019s magnetic field, the electrical circuit switches immediately<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>Two main types of IP67 sensors are available: the KPN type, an electronic Hall-effect sensor with high sensitivity and unlimited electrical service life, and the KA Reed type<\/span><\/span>. <\/span>Sensors equipped with an indicator LED require a minimum voltage of 20 V DC for the display circuit to operate correctly and are supplied as standard with a 3-metre cable<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
