HNP076

PALL CORPORATION

The humidity in hydraulic systems poses a threat to lubrication and transmission systems, as well as insulating fluids, negatively affecting machine performance. Water contamination promotes corrosion and wear of components, increasing maintenance costs. It also degrades the fluid properties, leading to a reduction in lubrication and load-carrying capacity, accompanied by oil oxidation and contributing to viscosity degradation.

The filtering system, model Dehydrator Oil Purifier LTH-4.200/Lt Industria 4.0 (Pall HNP076 S3Z CP), is a dehydrator for hydraulic oils. It has been designed by Pall Corporation for use in medium and large hydraulic systems, particularly where high viscosities are employed. The device has the ability to remove 40 liters of water per day.

The Dehydrator Oil Purifier LTH-4.200/Lt Ethernet Industria 4.0 allows for the filtration and degassing of hydraulic systems and lubricating fluids in the offline circuit. It utilizes vacuum dehydration to remove 100% of free water and up to 90% of dissolved water. It also removes 100% of free and entrained gases and up to 80% of dissolved gases.

Vacuum dehydration is the most effective method for removing water at a minimal cost and is easy to use. Unlike other methods, it can remove both free and dissolved water without burning or significantly altering the oil properties.

10MFP

PARKER HANNIFIN

The hydraulic fluid should always be filtered before use. Most new fluids (just extracted from the container) contain large amounts of contaminants, including solid particulates and water. If the fluid is not refined and/or purified before entering the hydraulic system, contaminants can significantly impact the system’s performance, damage essential components, reduce maintenance intervals, and increase downtime and costs.

The Parker 10MFP Series Portable Filtration Cart is a CE-certified, portable maintenance tool for field servicing that helps ensure high performance and reliability in heavy equipment. This is achieved by removing free water and contaminants that often enter the hydraulic fluid during mixing, processing, transfer, and storage. The cart, serving as a true preventive treatment device, is ideal for use by maintenance personnel in heavy equipment and machinery in the construction, mining, oil and gas, forestry, marine, and agricultural sectors.

Using a Parker Portable Filtration Cart is the most cost-effective way to protect the system from damage caused by contamination.

  • The 10MFP filtration cart is CE marked.
  • The cart operates with a recommended maximum viscosity of 800 cSt.
  • The 10MFP hydraulic cart is ideal for pre-filtering and transferring fluids in tanks or cleaning a system.
  • Sturdy yet lightweight and portable frame.
  • Maximum flow rate of 38 l/min.
(Note: the recommended viscosity level by icountPD is 108 cSt.)
  • Par-Gel elements available for water removal.
  • icountPD particle detector with optional MS humidity sensor.
PCM500 Monitor

PCM500

PALL CORPORATION

The Pall PCM500 Series Monitor is a portable diagnostic monitoring device capable of providing reliable and accurate measurement of the cleanliness level of system fluids.

Similar to its highly successful predecessor, the PCM400, the enhanced new version PCM500 utilizes the proven mesh blockage technology to accurately and reliably indicate cleanliness codes in the three dimensions specified by ISO 4406, adapting to a wide range of fluids in diverse environments.

With the PCM500, you can:

  • Monitor contamination levels of mineral, synthetic, or water-based fluids. Results are not affected by the presence of water, air, or opaque fluids.
  • Obtain accurate cleanliness codes for the three dimensions specified by ISO 4406 in less than 6 minutes and quickly implement preventive measures.
  • Load real-time results directly onto mobile devices for further analysis and operations.
  • Quickly and safely test and approve the cleanliness level of new components.
  • Protect systems from the risk of catastrophic failures by rapidly detecting abnormal conditions in fluid cleanliness.

The PCM500 Fluid Cleanliness Monitor is suitable for both fixed installation in critical applications (including component test facilities) and for use as a portable device for monitoring the routine conditions of various fluid-containing systems.

Transfer cart

PARKER HANNIFIN

The use of a portable Parker filter cart is the most cost-effective way to protect the system from damage that can be caused by contamination. Consider specifying an icountPD particle detector to enable accurate particulate detection during oil transfer.

PVS1200

PARKER HANNIFIN

The contaminated oil is drawn into the Parker portable purification system through a vacuum of 846.5 millibars (25 inches/Hg). The oil passes through the low-wattage in-line heater, where it is heated to an optimal temperature of 66°C (150°F). The oil then enters the distillation column, where it is exposed to a vacuum through the use of special dispersing elements. This increases the oil’s exposed surface area and converts water into vapor, which is then drawn through the condenser by the vacuum pump. Water-free oil settles at the bottom of the column and is removed by a heavy-duty lubricating oil pump. This pump forces the dry oil through a final filter for particulate removal. The clean oil exits the unit and returns to the tank.

Effects of Water Contamination

Water is one of the most common and damaging contaminants in a fluid system. When water contaminates a system, it can cause serious problems such as:

  • Corrosion due to metal etching
  • Fluid degradation, reduction of lubricating properties, precipitation of additives, and oil oxidation
  • Reduction of dielectric strength
  • Abrasive wear in hydraulic components

TRF040

PALL CORPORATION

The Pall TRF040 cart is a fixed oil filtration device specially designed for the wind energy sector, dedicated to removing impurities from the hydraulic power unit.

Icount MS100

PARKER HANNIFIN

The MS humidity sensors provide fast, reliable, and accurate in-line detection of moisture in fluids. This technology has been developed for preventive maintenance programs.

  • Provides continuous in-line humidity indication for hydraulic and lubrication systems.
  • Reports the percentage of relative humidity of the water content, giving the user information about the proximity to the actual saturation point of the fluids.
  • Provides reliable data on the water absorption rate.
  • Utilizes a laser-cut, thermosetting polymer-based detection cell technology that can absorb water molecules due to its microporous structure.
  • Uses a thermistor for temperature compensation correction, ensuring complete accuracy in reporting %RH relative humidity within the sensor’s temperature range.
  • A specially designed T-adapter allows for easy installation into an existing fluid system.

Oilcheck

PARKER HANNIFIN

Parker’s Oilcheck is a portable battery-powered device. Its main function is to visually determine the oil quality by measuring and comparing the dielectric constant between new and used fluids.

Battery life: >150 hours or 3,000 tests.

Parker’s Oilcheck features a numerical display indicating the positive or negative increase in dielectrics. The tool detects and measures the dielectric constant of the oil, comparing measurements obtained from used and unused oils of the same brand. Oilcheck serves as a regular maintenance monitoring tool, alerting technicians to a potential impending engine failure and thus contributing to extending its overall lifespan. Thanks to its simple and portable design, Oilcheck is extremely easy to use.
