Valves and Indicators for Stauff Pressure Filters

Valves and indicators for Stauff pressure filters are essential components for optimizing and monitoring hydraulic filtration systems. The range includes filter head inserts: non-bypass (HVO), bypass valve (HVB), reverse flow (HVR), check valve (HVN), and multi-function (HVM). HI series differential clogging indicators provide precise monitoring with a standard 5 bar threshold.

Description

SF Series Valves and Indicators: Advanced Control for Pressure Filters

The efficiency of hydraulic systems depends on integrated flow management devices. Stauff offers a complete range of valves and indicators to configure pressure filters according to specific application requirements.

Types of Integrated Valves

The valves are inserts mounted in the filter head to manage flow:

  • Non-Bypass Insert (HVO): Standard insert without a valve function. All fluid passes through the element; the element’s collapse pressure must exceed system pressure.
  • Bypass Valve (HVB): Allows oil to bypass the element when differential pressure reaches 6 bar (+0.5 bar), protecting the element from collapse. Typically used with elements featuring low collapse resistance (30 bar).
  • Reverse Flow Valve (HVR): Allows fluid to pass in the reverse direction without filtration, preventing backflushing of the element.
  • Check Valve (HVN): Prevents the pressure line from draining during filter maintenance.
  • Multi-Function Valve (HVM): A unit that combines three functions: bypass, reverse flow, and check valve.

HI Series Clogging Indicators

The indicators monitor differential pressure and signal element clogging. The standard setting is 5 bar (±10%), higher than optional indicator settings to ensure alarm activation before bypass opening.

Available Variants

  • Plug (HI-O): Seals the port when no indicator is required.
  • Visual (HI-A / HI-V): Mechanical indication available with automatic reset (HI-A) or manual reset (HI-V).
  • Electrical (HI-E): Switch for remote signaling.
  • Visual-Electrical (HI-P / HI-D): Combine a switch and LED (e.g. HI-D024 with Green/Yellow/Orange/Red LED).

Thermo-Stop Function

Indicators can be equipped with a Thermo-stop function, which inhibits the alarm below 20°C to prevent false signals caused by high fluid viscosity at low temperatures.

Technical Specifications and Materials

  • Body: Stainless steel (standard series) or brass (HI-D series).
  • Seals: NBR (Buna-N) or FKM (Viton).
  • Connection: G 1/2 thread.
