Stauff SF-63 Spin-On Filter Elements

The Stauff SF-63 Spin-On Filter Elements are screw-on cartridges designed for use with Stauff SLF series filters. Featuring a 3/4-16 UNF connection thread, they operate at a maximum working pressure of 14 bar (200 PSI). They are equipped with NBR seals and cellulose filter media for the filtration of mineral oils.

Description

SF-63 Series Spin-On Filters: Specifications for Hydraulic Circuits

The Stauff SF-63 series consists of spin-on filter elements specifically designed for installation on Stauff filter models SLF-02, SLF-03, and SLF-04. These components ensure reliable protection of hydraulic circuits, operating at working pressures up to 14 bar (200 PSI).

Technical and Construction Specifications

The elements are tested to guarantee structural strength, with a minimum burst pressure of 20 bar (290 PSI).

  • Connection: The mounting interface features a 3/4-16 UNF thread.
  • Sealing: Sealing is ensured by NBR (Buna-N®) gaskets with a “Type A” seal profile, suitable for use with mineral oils.
  • Dimensions: The element has a nominal outside diameter of 77.5 mm and a sealing diameter of 73.2 mm.

Filter Media and Performance

According to the technical documentation, the SF-63 series is equipped with paper (cellulose) filter media, providing a filtration ratio of Beta 10/25 ≥ 2. The following configurations are available:

  • SF-6310-18: Filtration rating 10 µm, bypass pressure 1.24 bar (18 PSI).
  • SF-6325-10: Filtration rating 25 µm, bypass pressure 0.70 bar (10 PSI).

The maximum permissible differential pressure is 5.5 bar (80 PSI) for applications without a bypass valve. The operating temperature range extends from -30°C to +100°C.
