The distinctive feature of these components lies in the use of a special fabric and a dedicated format (special format) developed by STAUFF to ensure maximum operational safety and optimal engine protection.
A key design element is the use of molded plastic end caps. This construction choice is not only structural but also intended to allow easy interconnection between components. Thanks to this molded end-cap system, maintenance operations are optimized: installation and removal of the filter elements can be carried out quickly and safely, reducing machine downtime. While the standard configuration uses plastic filter media, versions with stainless steel mesh are available on request for specific requirements.

The dimensional range of the SFK Series is designed to meet various installation needs. The elements are available in two main lengths:
- 320 mm (12.59 inches).
- 445 mm (17.52 inches).
The element diameter also varies within a defined range, from a minimum of 19 mm (0.75 inches) to a maximum of 33 mm (1.29 inches), ensuring compatibility with different system configurations.
In terms of filtration performance, SFK pre-filters provide micron ratings calibrated for effective coarse pre-filtration, which is essential for engine protection. The standard options available are:

- 31 µm.
