Description
Spin-On Filter Elements SFC-57/58 and SFCT-57/58: Efficiency and Reliability for Hydraulic Circuits
The SFC-57/58 and SFCT-57/58 Spin-On Filter Elements are an advanced technical solution for controlling fluid contamination in hydraulic systems. Specifically designed for integration with Stauff spin-on filter series, these elements ensure high performance and precise compatibility with the most stringent system specifications.
Compatibility and Configuration
These elements are optimized for use with Stauff filter housings of the SSF-20L/100/120/120L/130/160 and SSF-24B/24N/245/25B/25FM/25 series, featuring G1-1/4 threaded ports. The NBR (Buna-N®) sealing gasket with Type A profile ensures a leak-tight seal, preventing fluid leakage even under varying operating conditions.
Technical and Performance Specifications
The filter elements are designed to operate within a temperature range from -30 °C to +100 °C, making them suitable for use with mineral oils. Pressure specifications include:
- Operating pressure: Maximum 12 bar (174 PSI).
- Burst pressure: Minimum 17 bar (247 PSI).
- Differential pressure: Up to 5 bar for paper elements and up to 10 bar for fiberglass and wire mesh elements.
Differences Between the SFC and SFCT Series
The range is divided into two main configurations to suit different system requirements:
- SFC-57/58 Series: Standard elements without a bypass valve, ideal for applications that do not require internal pressure relief within the element.
- SFCT-57/58 Series: Specifically designed for Tank Top filters of the SSFT-20B/20 series. These models integrate an internal bypass valve set at 1.7 bar (25 PSI) and an anti-drain back diaphragm, which is essential to keep the circuit primed and protect components during restart.
Filter Media Types
The SFC-57/58 and SFCT-57/58 Spin-On Filter Elements are available with different filter media to meet specific cleanliness requirements:
- Filter Paper: Available with filtration ratings of 10 µm and 25 µm.
- Inorganic Fiberglass: Provides superior efficiency with ratings of 3 µm, 10 µm, and 25 µm and a Beta ratio ≥ 200.
- Metal Wire Mesh (Brass): For coarse filtration, available in 60 µm and 125 µm.
