Description
The in-line filter range has been specifically developed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. These high-pressure devices are designed to protect sensitive components within hydraulic systems operating under particularly harsh environmental conditions. The fluid passes through the filter element following a strict flow direction from outside to inside, technically defined as “From OUT to IN”. The filters are connected directly to system lines through dedicated hydraulic fittings to ensure maximum sealing and circuit reliability.
Design Features and Materials
The entire structure of the MP Filter Series FZX ATEX is designed to withstand extremely high mechanical stresses and chemical attack. The head, filter body (housing), and any bypass valve are entirely made of AISI 316L stainless steel. The base model of the series, FZX 011, is extremely compact, with a weight of 6.5 kg and an internal volume of 0.15 dm³. The technical design of the range предусматри exclusively vertical mounting installation. The system offers extensive hydraulic integration possibilities, featuring standard 1/2″ female threaded connections, along with several options including G 1/4″, G 1/2″, 1/4″ NPT, 1/2″ NPT, as well as specific Autoclave fittings for 1000 bar (9/16″-18 UNF and 3/4″-14 NPS).
Technical Specifications and ATEX Performance
The filter’s operating performance reaches excellent standards. The maximum working pressure reaches 100 MPa (1000 bar), optimally supporting fluid flow rates up to 10 l/min. Reliability and structural strength are validated through rigorous testing: the test pressure reaches 150 MPa (1500 bar), and the minimum burst pressure is guaranteed up to 300 MPa (3000 bar). Furthermore, severe pulse fatigue tests certify continuous resistance for up to 1,000,000 cycles with pressure variations ranging from 0 to 100 MPa.
Certifications and Thermal Compatibility
The seals, selectable according to the working fluid, determine the device’s thermal classification and safety specifications. They are available in NBR (series A), FPM (series V), or MFQ (series F). Versions equipped with NBR operate at temperatures ranging from -15°C to +80°C in “zerospark+” configuration, thus falling within temperature class T6. Versions with FPM/MFQ can withstand higher fluid temperatures, up to +110°C, complying with “zerospark” construction specifications with dedicated ATEX markings such as II 3G Ex h IIC T6… T4 Gc X and II 3D Ex h IIIC T85°C… T115°C Dc X.
Filter Elements and Application Sectors
The system uses inorganic microfiber filter media (type A) characterized by fine filtration ratings ranging from 3 µm (A03) to 25 µm (A25), ensuring impeccable cleanliness levels within the circuit. The series adopts high-collapse filter elements specifically designed to handle differential pressures (Δp) up to 210 bar. In particular, the “H” variant is used for filters without a bypass valve, while the “U” variant, equipped with stainless steel components, is mandatory in the presence of chemically aggressive fluids. Where required by circuit configuration, the bypass valve features a preset opening pressure of 6 bar ±10%. These outstanding strength specifications make the product the definitive solution for numerous critical industrial applications; it is primarily used in offshore platform equipment, industrial water filtration systems, and in all hydraulic installations required to operate under adverse environmental conditions or prolonged contact with highly corrosive fluids.
