MP Filter LFEX Series

The MP Filter LFEX Series protects sensitive components in low-pressure hydraulic systems. It supports operating pressures up to 16 bar and maximum flow rates of 300 l/min. By integrating the exclusive MYclean filter element with polygonal geometry, it ensures the use of original spare parts for maximum reliability. Suitable for industrial pressure lines, it provides fine filtration, water separation, and clogging indicators.

MP Filter LFEX Series

Description

The MP Filter LFEX Series represents an advanced engineering solution specifically developed for protecting sensitive components in low- and medium-pressure hydraulic systems. Designed for vertical installation, these filters connect directly to system lines through dedicated hydraulic fittings. Operating performance supports a maximum working pressure of 1.6 MPa (16 bar) and flow rates up to 300 l/min.

MYclean Technology and System Protection

The main innovation of the series lies in the FEX filter element, equipped with the MYclean interface. This exclusive technology features an internationally patented polygonal geometry (with active patents in Italy, Europe, the United States, and Canada) along with dedicated sealing solutions. The structural design physically prevents the improper use of non-original components, ensuring consistent oil cleanliness levels and optimizing the reliability of the entire hydraulic system. An additional external protective wrap preserves element efficiency against improper handling and improves flow performance.

Design Features and Materials

The materials used for the LFEX series are carefully selected to maximize resistance and durability in industrial environments. The filter head is made of aluminum, while the container (bowl) is manufactured from polyamide. The bypass valve, where present, uses polyamide and steel. In terms of pressure resistance, the units are tested at a proof pressure of 2.4 MPa (24 bar) and feature a minimum burst pressure of 4.8 MPa (48 bar). The design has also successfully passed rigorous fatigue impulse tests of 1,000,000 cycles. Standard seals are made of NBR (series A), and the operating temperature range extends from -25°C to +110°C.

Technical Specifications and Available Models

The LFEX range includes four main sizes designed to meet different volume and weight requirements:

  • LFEX 060: Weight 1.00 kg and volume 0.60 dm³.
  • LFEX 080: Weight 1.15 kg and volume 0.80 dm³.
  • LFEX 110: Weight 1.90 kg and volume 1.60 dm³.
  • LFEX 160: Weight 2.10 kg and volume 2.00 dm³.

Available connections cover a wide range, including female threaded connections up to 1 1/4″ and SAE connections up to 1 5/8″. Filtration is ensured through filter media ranging from inorganic microfiber (from 3 μm to 25 μm), to wire mesh (from 25 μm to 90 μm), and resin-impregnated paper (10 μm and 25 μm), including specific elements for water separation (WA025). Flow direction is from outside to inside (OUT to IN). Systems can be integrated with differential clogging indicators, both visual and electrical, and a bypass valve calibrated at 0.35 MPa (3.5 bar).

Applications

These devices are ideally used in pressure lines on mobile machinery or industrial equipment operating at low pressure. They are also perfectly suited for off-line filtration processes in small tanks.
