Description

The Miselli XLV Series Electrical Level Indicator – Standard Sensors is an engineered solution for visual monitoring and electrical control of fluids within hydraulic systems.

Construction Features

The indicator structure is designed to ensure mechanical strength and maximum fluid visibility. The core element is a transparent internal tube made of PC (polycarbonate), externally protected by a robust anodized aluminum profile. Wall mounting is carried out using M12 screws and nuts in white zinc-plated steel, equipped with standard NBR 70 Shore sealing gaskets. The entire assembly is designed to operate safely at a maximum working pressure of 1 bar and a recommended maximum temperature of 80°C. Devices are supplied with standard center distances of 300, 400, and 500 mm, with full flexibility to request custom dimensions according to specific design requirements.

Fluid Specifications and Options

The indicator ensures high chemical compatibility with mineral and synthetic oils, hydraulic fluids, and glycol-based fluids. Use with gasoline and diesel, however, offers limited resistance. For specific applications, the series provides advanced options such as FKM (VITON®) sealing gaskets and stainless steel screws and nuts, the latter available exclusively for SL series models.

XLV Series Variants

XLV/SL Model (Minimum Level Sensor)

This version integrates a REED sensor mounted directly on the internal transparent tube, easily adjustable in height depending on control requirements. The minimum configurable level is approximately 50 mm from the axis of the lower screw. The system uses a technopolymer float containing a magnetic element that closes the electrical contact (standard normally open configuration) when it reaches the sensor height. The electrical component operates at 3–30 Vac/dc, with a switching current of 0.2A and an IP67 protection rating. It is supplied as standard with a 30 cm power cable and M8 male connector, with the option to install multiple sensors at different heights.

XLV/ST Model (Maximum Temperature Sensor)

The XLV/ST indicator is equipped with a bimetallic contact maximum temperature sensor, integrated in a protected way inside the M12 zinc-plated steel fixing screw. The sensor features an IP65 protection rating and an adjustable DIN connector, and is supplied with standard calibration at 60°C or 70°C. The supported electrical load is 250 Vac 10A. Depending on requirements, the circuit can operate in normally open (XLV/ST-NO) or normally closed (XLV/ST-NC) mode, switching the signal when the preset temperature is reached.

XLV/SL-ST Model (Minimum Level and Maximum Temperature)

This solution combines the functionalities of the two previous models, providing both level control via magnetic float and REED sensor, and fluid thermal control via a thermostat integrated into the lower screw in a single unit. It ensures separate electrical signals for critical level drop and temperature threshold exceedance.

Installation Instructions

Mounting can be carried out externally on the tank by creating two M12 threaded holes at the specified center distance, maintaining a tolerance of +0.5 mm. Alternatively, internal mounting is possible using the supplied flanged nuts through two 12.5 mm (-0.2) through holes. To avoid damaging plastic components and ensure proper sealing, a maximum tightening torque of 5 Nm is recommended.
