The Miselli Filler Cap TF – TFA Series is designed for hydraulic applications, ensuring optimal filling and venting. Made of durable PA66 thermoplastic material, it supports operating temperatures up to 100°C. It integrates a reticulated polyurethane foam air filter (PPI 60) and an NBR 70 Shore sealing gasket. Available in the standard TF version and in the TFA variant equipped with a 5 mm galvanized steel level dipstick for fluid control.
The product family concerning the Miselli Filler Cap TF – TFA Series represents an engineering solution for hydraulic systems requiring reliable components for tank filling and venting. The structural design includes an internal thread specifically engineered to allow direct screw-on mounting on threaded filler necks with a corresponding diameter.
These mechanical components perform the dual essential function of filler cap for controlled fluid intake and breather for efficiently compensating air volume variations inside the hydraulic circuit. During system operating cycles, incoming and outgoing air is managed to keep internal pressures stabilized. The series is strictly intended for the hydraulic components sector and systems designed for fluid contamination control.
The load-bearing structure of the cap is entirely made of high-resistance thermoplastic material, specifically polyamide PA66. This construction configuration allows the component to steadily withstand a maximum operating temperature of 100°C. To ensure perfect hydraulic sealing and prevent fluid seepage, the device integrates an internal flat sealing gasket made of NBR synthetic rubber with a hardness grade of 70 Shore.
The upper cover, supplied as standard, is provided in two color and text variants to identify the fluid: red with the clear wording “OIL” and yellow with the wording “GASOIL DIESEL”. The manufacturer also offers the possibility of requesting additional customizations according to the specific requirements of the target system.
The family is divided into two main engineering variants that share the same threaded body:
TF Model: Standard component configuration that operates exclusively as a filler and breather cap with internal thread.
TFA Model: Advanced configuration which, in addition to the standard filling and venting functions, includes an integrated level dipstick. This measuring dipstick is made of durable galvanized steel and has a diameter of 5 mm, allowing operators to quickly check the fluid level inside the tank visually.
Both versions are available in standardized models: TF/2 and TFA/2 with G2″ thread, and TF/60.2 and TFA/60.2 versions with M60x2 thread. The geometric dimensions for these models indicate an external diameter (D) of 67.5 mm, an h1 height of 15 mm and an h2 height of 30 mm.
Strict airborne contamination control is managed through an air filter built directly into the cap body. The primary filtering element consists of polyester-based reticulated polyurethane foam with a filtration grade classified as PPI 60. In terms of fluid-dynamic performance and gas exchange, the component guarantees an air flow rate of up to 75 Lt/min. This specific performance value was accurately measured by testing the system at a test pressure of 275 mbar, ensuring correct flow during maximum demand transients.
