Made from 11 S light aluminum alloy, these hex head plugs ensure high structural reliability. The range includes specific versions for oil filling (with or without breather hole) and for draining. Equipped with a flat washer gasket in asbestos-free fiber, or aluminum upon request, they offer safe and durable mechanical seals.
The range dedicated to the Miselli Metal Plug Series M-TCN – M-TCNS – M-TSN offers a series of components specifically designed for use on tanks, power units, and hydraulic circuits. The entire series is developed to ensure maximum efficiency in loading, venting, and draining operating fluids, while maintaining high mechanical strength thanks to the use of precision-engineered materials.
The component family design is divided into three main variants, each intended for a specific hydraulic function within the hydraulic system:
M/TCN Series (metal oil filling plugs): Devices intended exclusively for airtight closure of the oil filling ports of hydraulic systems.
M/TCNS Series (metal oil filling plugs with breather): In addition to the filling function, this version integrates a breather hole (S) that allows gas evacuation or air intake, a fundamental operation for compensating for fluid volume and pressure variations.
M/TSN Series (metal oil drain plugs): Elements dedicated to drainage or drain ports, designed for perfect tank sealing in the lower area.
All closing and/or breather plugs are made with a hexagonal head (Ch) that facilitates assembly and disassembly operations using a standard wrench. The material used for the plug body is 11 S light aluminum alloy, a technical choice adopted to ensure an excellent balance between machinability, lightness, and resistance to the stresses typical of the sector. To facilitate quick visual identification during maintenance operations, plugs in the M/TCN and M/TCNS versions are supplied with the wording “OIL” clearly engraved on the head, while the M/TSN drain version has a completely plain surface. The sealing system relies on a flat washer gasket (G). In the standard configuration, this gasket is made of asbestos-free fiber, ensuring full compatibility with hydraulic fluids and compliance with strict environmental and safety regulations. At the user’s request, the component can be equipped with an aluminum sealing gasket for specific applications.
The series covers a wide range of connections (F) and dimensional parameters (h1, h2) to adapt to different industrial standards. The GAS threaded versions range from G 1/4 to G 1″ connections and are available in all three functional variants. By contrast, metric thread sizes (from M10x1 to M20x1.5) are produced and available exclusively in the plain-surface M/TSN drain version. During installation procedures, it is essential to respect the recommended tightening torque (Nm) for each size, applying an operating tolerance of 0+2, in order to ensure perfect adhesion and avoid compromising the integrity of the flat gasket.
