STAUFF Compact Clamp Body (Type CC – Standard Series)
The STAUFF Compact Clamp Body (Type CC – Standard Series) is designed in accordance with DIN 3015, Part 1. Its essential feature is the ability to secure two flexible hose diameters (regular and compact) using a single component. By rotating the upper half by 180°, the clamp adapts to the required hose, optimising operating and inventory costs. Each unit consists of two symmetrical halves. The STAUFF Compact Clamp Body (Type CC – Standard Series) is a hydraulic component developed with external dimensions in full compliance with DIN 3015, Part 1. Each unit structurally consists of two halves that form the complete clamp body. The main innovation of this design lies in its versatility: only one clamp body is required to securely fasten two different flexible hose diameters, specifically identified as “compact hose” and “regular hose” variants.
To switch between these two operating configurations, simply rotate the upper clamp half by 180 degrees. This simple mechanical operation changes the fastening interface to secure the compact hose instead of the regular hose. The product family is available for three different outside diameter combinations within STAUFF Group 3. These sizes cover regular diameters (D1) of 19 mm (0.75 in), 22.2 mm (0.87 in) and 25.4 mm (1.00 in). Additional outside diameters can be supplied upon specific technical request.
The standardisation provided by the compact design enables an effective and practical reduction in operating costs. By limiting the number of components required to cover different hose sizes, companies can maintain significantly lower inventory levels, optimising warehouse logistics. From a dimensional perspective, clamps belonging to STAUFF Group 3 have a fixed width (L1) of 50 mm (1.97 in) and an L2 dimension of 33 mm (1.30 in). The overall thickness (B) is 30 mm (1.18 in).
In addition to the basic Type CC model, the technical documentation illustrates the Type VK variant, a clamp body featuring a rectangular design and intended for STAUFF Group 5. This component is specifically designed for the secure installation of proximity switches compliant with DIN EN 60947-5-2 or similar industrial standards.
The available dimensional configurations for Type VK include square sections of 40 mm x 40 mm (1.57 in x 1.57 in) and 40 mm x 36 mm (1.57 in x 1.42 in). The recommended use of this series involves installation together with hexagon rail nuts (SM) and mounting rails (TS). This combination allows precise axial and horizontal adjustments simply by loosening the relevant fastening bolts. For the installation of proximity switches with a round body, the document alternatively recommends using Standard Series Group 4 clamp bodies (e.g. 430-PP) with the specifically required diameter.
