Description
Oleo Tecnica Uncut Split Flanges with UNC Threaded Mounting Holes are a high-quality construction solution for shut-off and connection of piping within hydraulic circuits operating at high pressures. The range is distinguished by reliable sealing, ensured by precision machining of the mounting holes with UNC threads, designed to provide maximum clamping force and withstand the strong vibrations typical of industrial systems.
The base material used for standard production is S355 carbon steel, renowned for its high yield strength and excellent tensile resistance. S355 split flanges are protected against environmental corrosion and system fluids by a Cr3 zinc-plating treatment (trivalent chromium), compliant with current environmental regulations. For applications in highly corrosive, marine or chemical-industry environments, the components are also available in AISI 316L stainless steel, selectable through a specific ordering designation.
Series 3000 Technical Specifications
Series 3000 of Oleo Tecnica Uncut Split Flanges with UNC Threaded Mounting Holes covers a broad dimensional range, from 1/2″ up to 5″. The maximum recommended working pressure varies and is inversely proportional to component size in order to maintain consistent structural safety margins:
- 345 kg/cm² for 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ diameters.
- 276 kg/cm² for the 1″1/4 diameter.
- 207 kg/cm² for 1″1/2 and 2″ diameters.
- 172 kg/cm² for the 2″1/2 diameter.
- 138 kg/cm² for the 3″ diameter.
- 34 kg/cm² for the larger 3″1/2, 4″ and 5″ diameters.
The U thread progressively ranges from 5/16″ to 5/8″, with weights ranging from a minimum of 0.12 kg (for model GFSI301UB) up to a maximum of 2.50 kg (for model GFSI311UB).
Series 6000 Technical Specifications and Uncut Flat Variants
For circuits requiring higher sealing performance, Series 6000 provides a constant maximum recommended working pressure of 414 kg/cm² across all sizes from 1/2″ to 2″. Standard Series 6000 model weights start from 0.16 kg for the 1/2″ size and reach 2.10 kg for the 2″ size.
Special attention should be given to the uncut flat split flanges, specifically designed for larger diameters operating at very high pressures: the 2″1/2 model (GFPI607U*) and the 3″ model (GFPI608U*). Both maintain the maximum pressure rating of 414 kg/cm². These flat models use larger U mounting threads, respectively 7/8″ and 1″1/8, with structural weights of 4.90 kg and 7.30 kg. As specified by the manufacturer, models marked with an asterisk are supplied untreated, meaning they are not zinc plated.
Ordering Designation
Correct identification during procurement requires the use of the prefix GFSI…UB for standard S355 versions and GFPI…U for uncut flat S355 versions. For AISI 316L stainless steel, the code root changes respectively to GFXI… and GFPXI…U.
