Oleo Tecnica Butt-Weld Flanges for Metric Pipe are designed to ensure maximum reliability in high-pressure hydraulic circuit connections. The range is divided into two main variants: Series 3000 and Series 6000.
Series 3000 covers sizes ranging from 1/2″ up to 5″. The maximum recommended working pressure for this series varies according to size: starting from 345 Kg/cm2 for the smaller diameters (1/2″, 3/4″, 1″), progressively decreasing to 276 Kg/cm2 for the 1″1/4 size, 207 Kg/cm2 for 1″1/2 and 2″, and finally reaching 34 Kg/cm2 for the larger 4″ and 5″ sizes.
Series 6000, specifically developed for heavy-duty applications, is listed for the 1″1/2 size, providing a maximum recommended working pressure of 414 Kg/cm2. It is essential to emphasise that the maximum recommended pressure values are based exclusively on the structural capabilities of the flange. The actual maximum working pressure of the complete hydraulic system is determined by the wall thickness and material type of the pipe used.
Materials and Construction Features
From a metallurgical perspective, the flanges are available in two different materials to meet multiple environmental and fluid requirements: S355 carbon steel (identified by the AFS prefix) and AISI 316L stainless steel (identified by the AFX prefix). Component weights vary according to size, starting from 0.24 Kg for the 1/2″ Series 3000 models up to 4.00 Kg for the 5″ model. The associated O-Ring seals range from type 4075 to type 4537, ensuring optimum hydraulic sealing between mating surfaces.
Configurations and Supply Kits
For maximum assembly versatility, the product is available in different supply configurations. It is possible to order the individual flange only, or alternatively choose complete installation kits. The kits include the flange, O-Ring seal, spring washers and fastening screws. Fasteners are available with either metric threads (from M8x30 to M16x55) or UNC threads (from 5/16″x1″1/4 to 5/8″x2″1/4). Sets equipped with UNC screws are available exclusively in carbon steel.
