Description

Marzocchi Gear Pumps Series 1P represent an optimal solution for compact hydraulic systems requiring reliability, versatility, and reduced size. Designed for low- and medium-power applications, they are widely used in power units and in areas where compact dimensions, continuous operation, and excellent volumetric and hydro-mechanical efficiency are required.

Constructed with a high-strength extruded aluminum body, die-cast flanges and covers, and gears made of case-hardened, tempered, and ground steel, these pumps ensure low noise levels, limited flow pulsation, and high mechanical durability, even under high pressure.

Components and Materials

The pumping group consists of a pair of gears supported by die-cast aluminum alloy bushings, equipped with radial and axial compensation areas, sealed with anti-extrusion rings. This system drastically reduces internal leakage, allowing stable volumetric efficiency even under demanding conditions.

Each 1P pump is equipped with a double-lip seal ring, functioning as both internal seal and external dust wiper, secured by a retaining ring. “Q” versions include the seal ring already installed.

Wide Range of Configurations

The 1P range includes:

• Unidirectional versions (D or S, right or left rotation)

• Reversible versions (R) with external drain

• Double versions (e.g. 1P D 2 + 1P D 3.3)

• Special versions:

  • “V” for high temperatures (up to +150°C, max 20 bar)

  • “ST” for low/high temperatures (-40°C ÷ +120°C)

  • “TR” for pressurized suction up to 6 bar

Pumps can be supplied with an integrated pressure relief valve (VM model), with internal (DI) or external (DE) drainage. Reversible versions must be equipped with external drainage.

Performance

• Displacements from 1.1 to 11.5 cm³/rev

• Theoretical flow rates from 1.6 to 11.9 l/min at 1500 rpm

• Maximum pressures: up to 270 bar (P3), 250 bar (P2), 230 bar (P1)

• Maximum speed: up to 6000 rpm (smaller models), 2100 rpm (size 11.5)

• Minimum speed: from 1000 to 1500 rpm depending on the size

Compatible Fluids and Operating Conditions

1P pumps must use mineral oils for hydraulic systems compliant with DIN 51525 and VDMA 24317. Fluids should have a viscosity between 10 ÷ 100 cSt (recommended), with start-up tolerance up to 2000 cSt. Operating temperatures range from -15°C to +80°C for standard versions, and up to +120°C for “V” versions.

It is essential to ensure adequate filtration levels, with ISO 4406 class 18/15 or better. For versions with servovalves, a filter of 5 μm absolute or finer is required.
