Elika Marzocchi M-ELI1 / M-ELI2 Motors represent a technologically advanced solution in the field of hydraulics, based on an innovative patented helical gear technology. These motors are designed to deliver high performance with extremely low noise levels and minimal vibration, making them ideal for applications where quiet operation and energy efficiency are essential.

Technology and Quiet Operation

The heart of the M-ELI1 / M-ELI2 range is the Elika technology, which allows a significant reduction in operating noise—up to 15 dBA lower than conventional external gear motors. This is achieved through the use of helical gears with a low number of teeth, which generate lower fundamental frequencies and ensure smoother, more continuous motion, thereby reducing the encapsulation phenomenon typical of standard pumps. Vibrations and pressure fluctuations are greatly reduced, enhancing the overall efficiency of the hydraulic system in which the motor is installed.

Mechanical Design and Reliability

The bushings of the Elika Marzocchi M-ELI1 / M-ELI2 Motors are mounted on compensation areas integrated into the flange and the cover, isolated by anti-extrusion reinforced seals. This allows free axial and radial movement, ensuring operational reliability even under demanding working conditions. The modular design allows great configuration flexibility thanks to the wide range of available flanges, shafts, and ports.

Technical Performance

M-ELI1 motors cover a displacement range from 2.1 to 8.1 cm³/rev, with operating pressures up to 230 bar and peak pressures up to 270 bar. The maximum rotational speed reaches up to 6000 rpm. The M-ELI2 series further expands application possibilities, with displacements from 7.0 to 35.0 cm³/rev, pressures up to 280 bar (inlet) and 310 bar (peak), maintaining noise levels between 51 and 58 dBA even at 1500 rpm.

The low noise and low pulsation characteristics make the Elika Marzocchi M-ELI1 / M-ELI2 Motors especially suitable for critical sectors such as lifting platforms, machine tools, presses, test benches, medical equipment, material handling, waste compactors, sweepers, marine systems, and new energy sources. Thanks to their excellent volumetric and mechanical efficiency even under variable speed conditions, Elika motors are compatible with variable flow systems controlled by inverters, effectively replacing variable displacement pumps.

Available Configurations

The motors can be ordered in right-hand (D) or left-hand (S) unidirectional versions, with standard NBR (“N”) or Viton (“V”) seals for high-temperature applications. Multiple options are available for flanges (European, SAE A, etc.), shafts (conical, cylindrical, splined), and ports (D, FA, FG), making each motor highly configurable to meet customer needs.
