CAL UFI In-Line Suction Filters: Compact and Effective Protection

The UFI Filters CAL series provides a practical solution for suction filtration in hydraulic circuits, designed to be installed directly along the suction line (“in-line suction element”). These filters combine compact dimensions with a robust construction, ideal for protecting pumps from coarse contaminants without requiring complex mounting arrangements inside the reservoir.

Construction Features and Materials

The CAL filters are engineered to ensure mechanical strength and environmental resistance:

• Housing: Fully constructed from zinc-plated steel, offering high corrosion and impact resistance—making the filter suitable for mobile equipment or harsh operating environments.
• Filter Element: Uses FormulaUFI.WEB technology, a precision metal mesh that provides effective and long-lasting surface filtration.

Filtration Specifications and Performance

The CAL series is optimized for specific flow and cleanliness requirements:

• Filtration Rating: All models in the series are equipped with a 160 µm filter medium, ideal for retaining coarse particles that could damage the pump.
• Flow Rate: The range covers nominal flow rates from 40 l/min for the smallest model (CAL305) up to a maximum flow rate (Qmax) of 100 l/min for the CAL455 model.
• Operating Temperature: The filters operate effectively within a wide temperature range, from –25°C to +110°C.

Compatibility and Applications

CAL UFI in-line suction filters are fully compatible with standard hydraulic fluids, including HH, HL, HM, HV and HTG according to ISO 6743/4.

The series includes several dimensional variants to fit different pipe diameters:

• CAL305MQ: Flow rate 40 l/min, connection diameter (D1) 30 mm.
• CAL355MQ: Flow rate 45 l/min, connection diameter (D1) 35 mm.
• CAL385MQ: Flow rate 65 l/min, connection diameter (D1) 38 mm.
• CAL387MQ: Flow rate 85 l/min, connection diameter (D1) 38 mm (extended version).
• CAL455MQ: Flow rate 100 l/min, connection diameter (D1) 45 mm.
