The CBD series by UFI Filters represents a reliable and long-lasting solution for inlet air filtration in hydraulic tanks. These devices, featuring a solid metal construction, are designed to prevent the ingress of solid contaminants into the tank during fluid level variations, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency of the entire hydraulic system.

Construction Features and Materials

CBD filters are built to withstand harsh industrial environments:

• Housing: Entirely made of black-painted steel, it provides excellent mechanical protection and resistance to external agents.
• Connection: Steel threaded connection, ensuring solid and secure mounting directly onto the tank.
• Filter Element: Replaceable, allowing quick and easy maintenance.

Filtration Specifications and Variants

The series offers flexibility in the choice of filter media to meet different cleanliness requirements:

• Standard (VD): Velvet mesh with an air filtration rating of 10 µm.
• On Request (FD): Glass fiber with a filtration rating of 2.5 µm for superior protection.
• On Request (CD): Impregnated cellulose with a filtration rating of 10 µm.

Performance and Operation

CBD UFI Filters are designed to handle high air flow rates, with models ranging from 500 l/min up to a maximum flow rate (Qmax) of 1,500 l/min for the largest size (CBD13). The operating temperature range is wide, from -25°C to +110°C, allowing use in various climatic conditions. They are fully compatible with standard hydraulic fluids ISO 6743/4 (HH, HL, HM, HV, HTG).

Dimensions and Models

The CBD range is available in three main sizes (11, 12, 13), all featuring a unified 2″ BSP threaded connection (code 16), but with different heights and flow capacities to suit tank size and system dynamics.
