CBF UFI Air Filters

CBF UFI Filters are air breathers designed for installation on hydraulic reservoirs using a stainless-steel clamp mounting system. Featuring a black-painted steel body, they offer robustness and operational reliability. They guarantee a maximum flow rate of up to 4,000 l/min and full compatibility with HH-HL-HM-HV-HTG fluids. Available with a standard 10 µm velvet mesh filter or optional fiberglass and cellulose media, they operate within a temperature range from -25°C to +110°C.

Description

CBF UFI Filters: Air Filtration Solutions for Hydraulic Reservoirs

The CBF air filter series represents an effective technical solution for protecting reservoirs in hydraulic systems. Specifically designed as air breathers with a clamp-mounting system, CBF UFI Filters combine durable materials with high flow performance, ensuring that the air entering the tank is free from contaminants that could compromise the hydraulic fluid.

Construction Features and Materials

The CBF series stands out for its solid construction suitable for industrial environments. The housing is made entirely of black-painted steel, providing the component with high mechanical strength. The fastening system is ensured by a stainless-steel clamp, which guarantees secure sealing and corrosion resistance at the tank connection point.

Filter Elements and Filtration Options

To meet different air-cleanliness requirements, CBF filters support several types of filter media.

  • Standard: The standard filter element (VD) is made of velvet mesh with a filtration rating of 10 µm, ideal for most general applications.
  • On Request: For applications requiring higher cleanliness levels or different materials, fiberglass (FD) elements with absolute filtration of 2.5 µm or impregnated cellulose (CD) elements rated at 10 µm are available.

Performance Specifications and Operating Conditions

CBF UFI Filters are engineered to manage high air flow rates, with a maximum capacity (Qmax) reaching 4,000 l/min in larger size models. This makes them suitable even for systems with rapid and significant volume changes within the reservoir.

The filters operate effectively across a wide temperature range, from -25°C to +110°C. They also ensure full compatibility with the main hydraulic fluid classes according to ISO 6743/4, including HH, HL, HM, HV, and HTG fluids.

Models and Dimensions

The range is divided into different sizes to meet specific flow and connection requirements:

  • Series 11: Includes models CBF11C40VD and CBF11C52VD. These models handle flow rates of 1,000 l/min and 1,500 l/min, respectively, with connection diameters (D2) of 40 mm and 52 mm.
  • Series 21: Includes models CBF21C70VD and CBF21C76VD, designed for more demanding applications with flow rates of 3,000 l/min and 4,000 l/min. Connection diameters are 70 mm and 76 mm, respectively.

Physical dimensions vary by series, with total heights (H1) ranging from 120 mm for Series 11 to 145 mm for Series 21, enabling flexible integration into different system layouts.
