High-Pressure “Last Chance” In-Line Filters FLA UFI Series: Final Safety

The FLA series by UFI Filters represents the ideal solution for safety filtration (“Inline high pressure last chance filter”) in hydraulic circuits that require extreme protection of regulation and control components. These filters are designed to be installed immediately upstream of sensitive valves or actuators, intercepting any residual contaminants and preventing sudden failures.

Construction Features and Materials

The compact and robust structure of FLA filters is optimized to ensure reliability and minimal footprint:

• Housing: Made of aluminum, combining light weight with mechanical strength suitable for high pressures.
• Seals: Standard NBR Nitrile, with an optional FKM Fluoroelastomer version available for applications with special fluids or high temperatures.
• No Bypass: To fulfill the “last chance” function, FLA filters are supplied without a bypass valve (Configuration “W”), ensuring that no unfiltered fluid can reach downstream components.

FormulaUFI Filter Elements

The series uses filter elements from the ELA family, designed with a differential collapse resistance of 8 MPa (80 bar). The available filter media belong to the FormulaUFI.WEB series, consisting of robust, cleanable metal mesh, ideal for safety filtration:

• MD: 30 µm
• ME: 60 µm
• MF: 90 µm
• MG: 125 µm

The FLA UFI delivery air filter offers high performance in a miniaturized design:

• Maximum Operating Pressure: 21 MPa (210 bar).
• Maximum Flow Rate (Qmax): Up to 35 l/min.
• Operating Temperature: From -25°C to +110°C.
• Fluid Compatibility: Fully compatible with HH, HL, HM, HV and HTG fluids according to ISO 6743/4.

Connections

The filters are equipped with BSP threaded connections, available in sizes from 3/8″ (03) and 1/2″ (04), allowing easy integration into existing lines.
