Description

High-Pressure In-Line Filters FPH UFI Series: Efficiency and Compactness

The FPH series by UFI Filters represents a robust and efficient solution for high-pressure delivery filtration. These 3-way inline filters (“3-way inline filter”) are designed to protect critical components of the hydraulic circuit, ensuring high performance even in confined spaces.

Construction Features and Materials

FPH filters are built with high-quality materials to ensure strength and durability:

  • Head: Made of aluminum alloy, combining light weight and mechanical strength.
  • Bowl: Made of steel, designed to withstand operating pressures up to 2 MPa (20 bar).
  • Bypass Valve: Integrated and made of polyamide, set at 170 kPa (1.7 bar) ±10% to ensure system safety.
  • Seals: Standard NBR Nitrile, with optional FKM Fluoroelastomer on request for specific applications.

FormulaUFI Filter Elements

The series uses filter elements from the ERA family, available with different media technologies to meet every filtration requirement:

  • FormulaUFI.MICRON (FA, FB, FC, FS, FD, FE): Inorganic glass microfiber with absolute filtration ratings from 5 to 30 µm (ß > 1,000), for maximum efficiency.
  • FormulaUFI.WEB (ME, MF): Metal mesh rated at 60 and 90 µm, ideal for coarser filtration or high-viscosity fluids.

The filter element is designed to withstand a differential collapse pressure of 300 kPa (3 bar).

Maintenance is simplified by a design that allows removal of the lower flange for element replacement. The filters are prepared for the installation of clogging indicators (pressure gauges, pressure switches, or vacuum gauges) for continuous monitoring of operating efficiency.
