The Marzocchi 1HL, 1PHL, and 2HL High/Low hydraulic gear pumps are special dual-stage pumps with integrated special valves.
The HI-LO Marzocchi series includes multiple gear pumps designed for applications requiring two distinct hydraulic operating stages: an initial fast stage under low load followed by a working stage with high pressure but reduced flow. It is a particularly suitable solution for presses, shears, forming machines, and high-speed industrial systems.
HI-LO pumps stand out for their ability to integrate multiple sections into a single pump body, each with dedicated technical characteristics:
The high-flow pump operates during the rapid approach phase, with limited pressure.
Once a pressure threshold is reached (via valve), only the high-pressure section operates, while the first section is discharged to the tank.
This behavior allows for optimized cycle times, reduced energy consumption, and minimized mechanical stress on lines. The pumps can be supplied with internal HI-LO valves, external valves, or without valve, depending on the system type.
