Operating Principle and Filtration

From a technical standpoint, metal mesh operates according to the principle of surface filtration, implementing a mechanical retention method that is extremely effective in removing contaminants. Through direct interception, the filter media physically prevent particles larger than the mesh pores from continuing their path within the hydraulic system.

Structural Features and Material Specifications

Filters belonging to Series N, Type M are designed to ensure optimal performance under industrial operating conditions. The nominal filtration rating of these mesh elements ranges from 25 μm to 250 μm. The primary feature of this construction type is its intrinsic ability to provide maximum mechanical resistance against differential pressure and in the presence of special fluids.

Within the architecture of the complete filter element (MYclean system), the metal mesh performs fundamental structural support and protection functions:

• External media protection: An external metal mesh is used as a protective barrier against flow rate and inlet pressure. This technical solution carefully preserves the integrity of the underlying pleated material.
• Internal anti-collapse support: An internal support metal mesh protects the filter media from differential pressure and absolutely prevents structural collapse. To adapt to different requirements, this mesh is available in two material variants: stainless steel and carbon steel with epoxy resin coating.
