MP Filter Series FZP

The MP Filter Series FZP high-pressure in-line filter is manufactured in AISI 316L stainless steel to ensure maximum protection of hydraulic components in harsh environmental conditions. It supports operating pressures up to 420 bar and flow rates up to 160 l/min. Available with high or low collapse filter elements and sealing materials in NBR, FPM or MFQ, it represents the ideal solution for offshore applications and circuits using corrosive fluids.

Description

Advanced Protection for Hydraulic Systems

Designed to ensure maximum efficiency in extreme operating environments, the MP Filter Series FZP represents an advanced solution for in-line filtration in high-pressure hydraulic circuits. This filter series is developed to protect sensitive components within hydraulic systems operating under particularly harsh environmental conditions. Installation предусматри direct connection to system lines via dedicated hydraulic fittings and requires strictly vertical mounting.

Applications and Reference Sectors

Thanks to its robust architecture, the series is particularly suitable for complex industrial environments. Common applications include:

  • Off-shore equipment and installations.
  • Water filtration systems.
  • Plants operating in harsh or corrosive environmental conditions.
  • Hydraulic systems using corrosive fluids.

Structural Features and Materials

The structural integrity of the filter is ensured by the use of specific high-quality materials. The head, filter body and integrated bypass valve are entirely made of AISI 316L stainless steel. The filtration system supports a maximum operating pressure up to 42 MPa (420 bar), with a fluid flow capacity up to 160 l/min. The bypass valve, designed to relieve excessive pressure drop across the filter media, is set with an opening pressure of 6 bar (±10%).

Filter Elements and Sealing Options

The versatility of the filter is enhanced by the availability of different filter element series for managing differential pressure (Δp), with fluid flow from outside (OUT) to inside (IN):

  • “R” Series: low-collapse microfiber filter element with external support (20 bar), developed to protect against backpressure caused by the check valve or reverse flow in filters equipped with a bypass valve.
  • “S” Series: high-collapse microfiber filter element with external support (210 bar), suitable for protection in filters without a bypass valve.
  • “U” Series: high-collapse stainless steel filter element (210 bar), specifically designed for use with aggressive fluids.

The filters offer fine filtration ratings (from 3 µm to 25 µm in inorganic microfiber) to achieve a high system cleanliness level. For sealing gaskets, the standard configuration includes NBR (Series A, operating from -25°C to +110°C). Optional versions in FPM (Series V, from -20°C to +120°C) or MFQ (Series F, from -50°C to +120°C) are also available. The overall permissible operating temperature range spans from -50°C to +120°C.

Dimensional Variants: FZP 039 and FZP 136

The range is available in two structural sizes, which can be equipped with visual, electrical or electronic differential clogging indicators:

  • FZP 039: available in lengths 2, 3 and 4, with threaded connections G 1/2″, 1/2″ NPT or SAE 8 (3/4″ – 16 UNF).
  • FZP 136: available in lengths 1, 2 and 3, supporting threaded connections ranging from G 3/4″ up to G 1 1/4″ (or equivalent NPT and SAE), suitable for configurations with maximum flow rates up to 150 l/min through 1 1/4″ female threaded connections.
