The PO – PWO Seim Pump is a high-reliability three-screw pump, specifically designed for use with high-pressure coolant and cutting oils. In addition to the established PWO model, the series extends with the PWA version, featuring an advanced hardening process for fluids with impurities, and the PWE, with an ultra-resistant liner for extreme applications. All versions guarantee maximum hydraulic efficiency, low noise, and self-priming capability.
The SEIM PW three-screw pump series represents the ultimate Italian solution for high-pressure coolant lubrication applications, successfully marketed worldwide for over a decade. The offering has been tripled to meet every operational requirement, while maintaining unmatched reliability and durability.
The PWO model is the established and proven product of the range, specifically designed for handling high-pressure coolant and cutting oils. Its construction ensures high hydraulic efficiency and great reliability, making it the preferred choice in countless industrial contexts.
The PWA (Advanced) model is the solution designed for applications where fluids contain particles and impurities. Thanks to a specific hardening process and advanced technological treatment applied to both the pump body and screws, it offers superior resistance to wear and abrasion, ensuring consistent performance even under demanding operating conditions.
The PWE (Evoluted) model is the advanced pump for the most severe applications. It is equipped with an internal liner made of extremely wear-resistant material, making it the ideal choice for processing very hard materials, such as stellited or heat-treated steels, where abrasion resistance is a key requirement.
All pumps in the PW series share outstanding construction features. The pump body and flanges are made of GJL-250 cast iron with hardening treatment to resist wear. The screw set is manufactured with high precision to maximize hydraulic performance. Depending on the model, the screws are made of nitrided steel (PWO, hardness 1000 HV1) or alloy carbon steel treated with special processes (PWA and PWE, hardness 1500 HV1).
The main advantages include:
The PW series pumps are optimized for use with electric motors driven by inverters (Variable Frequency Drive). This solution allows maintaining constant flow or pressure as working conditions change, for example during tool changes, without stopping the motor. The benefits are significant: improved pump performance, reduced energy consumption, coolant savings, and rapid cost payback. The high hydraulic efficiency enables use over a wide speed range, typically from 1400 to 4500 rpm.
The versatility of the PO – PWO Seim Pump makes it the preferred product for a wide portfolio of applications, including:
