The PXF Seim Pump is a three-screw pump considered the natural evolution of the well-established PX series. Designed with specific attention to market needs, this series is optimized for general low-pressure industrial applications, such as lubrication, cooling, and filtration circuits. Construction Features and Materials

Pump Body and Screws

The body of the PXF pump is made as standard in GG25 cast iron, with the option of a carbon steel version for specific applications. This construction, obtained through pattern casting, provides reduced weight compared to previous series. The three screws, central to its operation, are made of nitrided carbon steel, a treatment that ensures high surface hardness and wear resistance. To guarantee sealing between components, Viton® O-rings are used.

Seal and Bearings

The standard sealing system is a mechanical seal, with numerous options available to suit specific applications. A radial ball bearing is mounted on the central screw, ensuring maximum operating reliability even under mechanical stress. The bearing is lubricated directly by the pumped fluid, simplifying maintenance.

Installation Options and Connections

The PXF series offers remarkable installation flexibility, as it can be mounted in both horizontal and vertical positions. The suction flange is available in either axial or radial configuration. For models up to size 072, the connection ports are SAE as standard, while for larger sizes (from 102 to 156) they are DIN. Sizes 083, 102, and 126 include an integrated intermediate flange to facilitate vertical tank mounting.

Handled Fluids and Operating Limits

The PXF Seim Pump is designed for pumping hydraulic and lubricating oils. The operational viscosity range extends from 10 to 5,000 cSt, with dedicated versions available for ultra-high-viscosity fluids above 100,000 cSt. The standard working temperature ranges from 0 to 120°C, while the allowable operating speed is between 750 and 3600 rpm.

Pressures and Flow Rates

The permissible suction pressure ranges from -0.5 to 10 bar. On the discharge side, the pump can reach a maximum pressure of 30 bar for sizes 032 to 072 and for the PXFE083 model. For sizes from PXF083 to PXF156, the maximum pressure is 16 bar. In the presence of emulsified air in the fluid, the maximum operating pressure is 8 bar. The flow rate range has been extended up to 5,000 l/min (depending on the model) without the need for supercharging.
