The SLF-02/03/04 Spin-On Filter Heads provide a reliable solution for in-line filtration in hydraulic systems. Manufactured entirely from aluminum, these filter heads ensure light weight and high strength. The design includes 1/4-20 UNC threaded mounting holes, enabling easy installation in confined spaces with compact dimensions and optimized overall size. The system is designed to operate at a maximum pressure of 14 bar (200 PSI) and a maximum differential pressure of 5.5 bar (80 PSI) for applications without a bypass valve.
Flow Performance and Applications
These components are highly versatile and suitable for various system configurations. In return-line applications, the filter heads handle flow rates of up to 26 l/min (7 US GPM). For suction-line use, the nominal flow rate is 7 l/min (2 US GPM). Fluid compatibility is ensured for mineral oils, with the option to request configurations for other fluids. They operate efficiently within a wide temperature range from -30 °C to +100 °C.
Available Variants and Connections
The SLF-02/03/04 series stands out for the variety of available port connections, offered in both NPT and SAE O-ring thread standards to meet different installation requirements:
- SLF-02: Equipped with 1/4 NPT connections.
- SLF-03: Equipped with 3/8 NPT connections.
- SLF-04: Equipped with 9/16-18 SAE connections.
The filter element connection is a standardized 3/4-16 UNF.
Filter Element Compatibility and Accessories
The filter heads are specifically designed for use with SF-63 series filter elements and elements with a Type A sealing contour. Please note that the filter element is not included in the standard supply. For filter condition monitoring, the heads feature ports for clogging indicators with 1/8 NPT threads. Indicator positioning depends on the application: Position 1 for return lines and Position 2 for suction lines, ensuring accurate monitoring under all operating conditions.
