SF-65 Series Spin-On Filters: Filtration Solutions for Hydraulic Circuits
The Stauff SF-65 series offers spin-on (screw-on) filter elements designed to operate safely at working pressures up to 14 bar (200 PSI) and with a minimum burst pressure of 20 bar (290 PSI). They are compatible with mineral oils and ideal for applications requiring reliability and easy replacement.
Construction Features and Dimensions
The SF-65 elements are defined by the following rigorous technical specifications:
- Connection: 1-12 UNF thread.
- Sealing: NBR (Buna-N®) seals with Type A sealing profile.
- Dimensions: The elements have an outside diameter of 93.2 mm (3.67 in).
- Lengths: Available in three main lengths for different dirt-holding capacities: 147 mm, 204 mm, and 133 mm.
Types of Filter Media
The SF-65 series allows selection among different materials according to filtration requirements:
- Inorganic Glass Fibre: For fine, high-efficiency filtration, available in 3 µm, 10 µm, and 25 µm ratings (codes SF-6521, SF-6510, SF-6511, SF-6549).
- Paper (Filter Paper): Paper media with a nominal filtration rating of 10 µm (code SF-6520).
- Water Absorbing: Elements designed to remove water, available with filtration ratings of 10 µm (SF-6520-W) or 25 µm (SF-6504), including specific options such as SF-6505. Note: model SF-6520-W has a maximum operating pressure of 7 bar.
