Description
Technical Features and Performance
The Stauff SF-67 Spin-On Filter Elements represent an advanced solution for contamination control in hydraulic circuits. Specifically designed for use with Stauff Spin-On filters of the SSF-20, SSF-24, SSF-25, SSF-100, SSF-120, SSF-130, SSF-150, SSF-160, and SSF-180 series, these elements ensure perfect integration thanks to the unified 1-1/2-16 UN connection thread.
The robust construction allows operation at a maximum working pressure of 14 bar (200 PSI), with a guaranteed minimum burst pressure of 20 bar (290 PSI). For standard applications, the maximum differential pressure is 5.5 bar (80 PSI). The seals are made of NBR (Buna-N®) with a Type B sealing profile, ensuring reliable sealing across an operating temperature range from -30 °C to +100 °C (-22 °F … +212 °F).
Variants and Filter Media
The SF-67 series offers a wide range of filter media to meet specific fluid cleanliness requirements:
Inorganic Glass Fibre (MG Series)
Inorganic glass fibre elements provide high filtration efficiency with a Beta ≥ 200 ratio. They are available with the following filtration ratings:
- 1 µm: SF-6702-MG
- 3 µm: SF-6703-MG, SF-6730-MG
- 6 µm: SF-6704-MG, SF-6731-MG
- 12 µm: SF-6706-MG, SF-6728-MG
- 25 µm: SF-6707-MG, SF-6726-MG
Filter Paper
Ideal for less critical applications, paper elements provide a Beta ratio ≥ 2. Available models include:
- 10 µm: SF-6720, SF-6710
- 25 µm: SF-6721, SF-6711
Metal Mesh and Water Absorption
- Stainless Steel Mesh: Models SF-6790 and SF-6791 with 144 µm filtration for coarse filtration.
- Water Absorbing: Model SF-6721-W (10 µm) is specifically designed for water removal, with a retention capacity of 444 ml (15 oz) and a maximum operating pressure limited to 7 bar (101.5 PSI).
Dimensions and Fluid Compatibility
The elements have a standard diameter of 129 mm (5.08 in) and are available in different lengths, mainly 270 mm and 168 mm, depending on the specific order code. Standard chemical compatibility covers mineral oils (density 0.85 kg/dm³ and viscosity 30 mm²/s according to ISO 3968); use with other fluids is available on request.
