Suction filters MP

Placed in front of the pump, suction filters and strainers protect it from contamination while providing additional fluid diffusion on the pump`s suction line.

They can be equipped with a magnetic column to retain ferrous particles and are usually placed under head to take advantage of the fluid`s piezometric buoyancy and to reduce the risk of cavitation.

There are two types of suction filters:

• Suction filters called strainers, a simple filter element screwed onto the suction pipe
• Suction filters mounted on the wall of the tank, they are easier to maintain when the filter element needs to be replaced because of the anti-emptying valve.
