The UOW series by UFI Filters represents a professional and versatile solution for contamination control in hydraulic systems. It is a mobile filtration and transfer unit designed to operate in off-line mode (low pressure), independent of the main system circuit. This device is essential for filling, topping up, and periodic fluid cleaning operations, drastically reducing clean-up time.

Construction Features and Drive System

The UOW unit is built to ensure robustness and ease of transport, with a total weight of 50 kg and dual handles for safe handling. The core of the system consists of:

• Pump: Gear pump with a maximum flow rate (Qmax) of 40 l/min, equipped with an integrated pressure relief valve set at 1 MPa (10 bar).
• Electric Motor: In the standard version, a 380V three-phase motor is installed, with a rated power of 0.75 kW and a speed of 1450 rpm (IP54 protection). A single-phase version is available on request.
• Protection: A “Y”-type strainer is installed upstream to protect the pump from coarse contaminants.
• Connections: The unit is supplied complete with suction and delivery flexible hoses, 2 meters long, ending with 0.5-meter rigid ends to facilitate access to tanks.

Green Version Filtration Technology

UOW filters use IRF series “Green Version” (coreless) filter elements, designed to reduce environmental impact. The filter element provides a large filtration surface and is available with different media to meet specific requirements:

• FormulaUFI.MICRON: Glass microfiber media for solid particle removal, with filtration ratings of 5, 7, 12, and 21 µm(c) and efficiency $beta > 1.000$.
• FormulaUFI.H2O: Specific media (WR) for the absorption and removal of free water present in the oil (see “Hydro Dry” section).

Monitoring and Maintenance

To ensure filtration efficiency, the unit can be equipped with differential clogging indicators, visual or electrical, set at 130 kPa (1.3 bar). This allows timely identification of the need to replace a clogged filter element. The user-friendly design facilitates maintenance operations, making the UOW cart an indispensable tool for maintaining ISO fluid cleanliness.
