Water Removal MP Filtri filter elements provide maximum protection for hydraulic systems by eliminating contamination from solid particles and free water. Manufactured in inorganic microfiber with a 25 µm filtration rating (WA025) and β25(c)=1000 ratio, they integrate a special absorbent polymer layer. During the process, the fibers expand in volume, permanently and irreversibly retaining water. They represent the ideal solution for low and medium pressure applications and spin-on filters.
The presence of water and solid particles is the primary cause of malfunction and failure in hydraulic systems, leading to rapid degradation of lubrication performance and the fluid’s ability to protect metal surfaces. Water Removal MP Filtri filter elements are engineered with precision to address this specific issue, absolutely removing free water and solid contaminants from hydraulic fluids.
The separation and purification mechanism is based on a special polymer layer dedicated exclusively to absorbing free water present in oils. This absorbent material consists of technical fibers that increase in physical size during the absorption process. Free water is captured, bound to the filter media and completely removed from the system, with no possibility of being released back into the hydraulic circuit. This configuration combines in a single compact solution both solid contaminant filtration and water retention.
Filter elements belonging to Series N, Type WA (Water Removal), use an advanced inorganic microfiber filter media identified by the technical designation WA025. This media ensures a filtration rating of 25 µm, providing absolute filtration of solid particles with an efficiency value of β25(c)=1000. The element structure includes an external metal mesh that protects the filter media from flow rate and inlet pressure, preserving the integrity of the pleated material. Internally, a reinforced perforated tube enables the element to withstand differential pressure, preventing collapse. Filtration performance, including efficiency and retention capacity related to differential pressure, is evaluated through the ISO 16889 Multi-pass test.
Operational quality is ensured by the exclusive MYclean filter element design, featuring a polygonal connection system and a dedicated gasket. This architecture requires the exclusive use of original spare parts, ensuring correct system operation and increasing the overall reliability of the hydraulic system.
Water Removal technology can be implemented across several MP Filtri configurations. For Spin-on filters, the element is fully compatible with the MPS series, identified by the CW designation for the filter element. In the low and medium pressure segment, the Type WA element is compatible with the following in-line and flanged models: LFEX, LMP 210-211, LMP 400-401-430-431, LMP 900-901, LMP 902-903, LMP 950-951 and LMP 952-953-954. Compatibility also extends to models LMD 211, LMD 400-401-431, LMD 951, LDP and LDD.
