This engineering choice provides the plug with excellent mechanical strength, long-term dimensional stability, and high impact resistance. From a thermal standpoint, the component is designed to operate within an extremely versatile temperature range, from -30°C to +100°C.
The external structure features a cylindrical head equipped with vertical lobes. This particular configuration ensures an ergonomic and secure grip, facilitating manual tightening operations by installation technicians. Hydraulic sealing is ensured by an O-Ring gasket made of oil-resistant rubber with 70 Shore hardness, effectively preventing leaks and seepage at the base of the thread. Aesthetically, the standard series features a black body and a red cap marked with the oil filling symbol and the standard wording OIL.
The plugs belonging to the TMD and TMDF series ensure a high air flow rate within fluid systems. The airflow passes through four vent sections strategically positioned under the thread and an additional six sections located beneath the grip. Additional customization options on request include yellow caps with GASOIL or DIESEL markings for versions 114-112, and the possibility of implementing tapered NPT threads (sizes from 1/4″ to 1″) for specific assembly configurations.
