The Miselli Breather Plug Series TSV – TSAV is designed for hydraulic applications requiring the discharge of overpressure air. Made of high-strength Polyamide 66, it withstands temperatures up to 100°C. It features a one-way valve calibrated at 0.25 bar that prevents the ingress of impurities and the escape of fluid. Available in the standard TSV version or TSAV with steel dipstick, it is ideal for gearboxes, speed increasers, and transmission components.
The Miselli Breather Plug Series TSV – TSAV represents a reliable solution for managing overpressure in hydraulic and mechanical systems. Designed to ensure maximum operational efficiency, this component is essential wherever air discharge to the outside is required in the presence of internal pressure higher than atmospheric levels. The series stands out for its cylindrical head with vertical lobes, which ensure an optimal grip for quick and secure manual tightening without the use of special tools.
The range is divided into two main versions, designed to meet different tank monitoring and venting requirements:
TSV Model: Acts exclusively as a threaded filling and vent plug with integrated valve.
TSAV Model: Integrates the vent valve functionality with a practical level dipstick. The standard supplied dipstick is made of grey phosphated steel with a round section of 4 mm. Upon request, and for minimum quantities of 250 pieces, it is possible to supply dipsticks of different sizes customized with minimum and maximum level markings.
The technical core of the system lies in its one-way valve, whose operation is regulated by a precision spring calibrated at approximately 0.25 bar. This specific calibration allows controlled venting of excess gases, preventing damage or structural overpressure. At the same time, the valve mechanism isolates the internal environment, effectively preventing the ingress of contaminating impurities and stopping oil splashes from escaping outward, depending on the specific working conditions and the type of fluid used.
The components of the series are made of high-performance thermoplastic material, specifically Polyamide 66, which ensures excellent structural stability up to a maximum operating temperature of 100°C. From both a functional and identification standpoint, the plugs are supplied as standard with a black body and a high-visibility red cap bearing the “valve” graphic symbol. Hydraulic sealing is ensured by a gasket equipped with a flat washer made of NBR 70 Shore. Upon specific request at the ordering stage, the plug can be equipped with an O-Ring, also molded in NBR 70 Shore.
The application of this series of breather plugs is strongly recommended for the protection, ventilation, and proper operation of gearboxes, variators, speed increasers, gear housings, and transmission components in general. The models are designed and available with the following standard (Gas) threads:
G1/4 (Reference codes: TSV/14, TSAV/14).
G3/8 (Reference codes: TSV/38, TSAV/38).
G1/2 (Reference codes: TSV/12, TSAV/12).
In addition to the standard configurations available in the catalog, the line offers several possibilities for adaptation to specific system requirements. For suitable quantities, it is possible to request graphic customization of the upper red cap. Furthermore, international adaptability of hydraulic connections is ensured by the availability, upon request, of components equipped with American tapered NPT threads as an alternative to the standard Gas threads.
