Description
General Characteristics and Working Pressures
Oleo Tecnica Butt-Weld Stubs for Gas Pipe are designed to ensure sealing performance and reliability in hydraulic systems. The maximum recommended working pressure is calculated according to the matching flange, while the maximum working pressure of the entire system is determined directly by the thickness and quality of the steel used for the pipe. The components are divided into two main pressure classes: Series 3000 and Series 6000.
In Series 3000, the maximum recommended working pressures vary according to the size of the stub: they are 345 Kg/cm² for diameters of 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″; they decrease to 276 Kg/cm² for the 1″ 1/4 size; and are set at 207 Kg/cm² for the larger 1″ 1/2 and 2″ sizes.
In Series 6000, designed for more demanding applications, the maximum recommended working pressure reaches 414 Kg/cm² for sizes 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″. For larger diameters, the values are 375 Kg/cm² (1″ 1/4), 320 Kg/cm² (1″ 1/2) and 250 Kg/cm² for the maximum diameter of 2″.
Construction Specifications and Materials
These weld stubs feature a 30° bevel design to facilitate butt welding to the gas pipe. Component weight varies proportionally according to size and series, starting from a minimum of 0.08 Kg for 1/2″ models and reaching up to 0.80 Kg for 2″ Series 6000 stubs.
The construction materials specified in the technical documentation allow adaptation to different environmental and fluid conditions. The standard designations include the use of A105 material (or equivalent), identified by the prefixes “SFS”, or AISI 316L stainless steel, identified by the prefix “SFX”.
Sealing Configurations and Ordering Designations
Oleo Tecnica Butt-Weld Stubs for Gas Pipe provide flexibility in terms of sealing systems. The components can be ordered in two main versions for each material:
- Stub with O-ring seat: designated by the suffix “…STA” (e.g. SFS…STA for A105, SFX…STA for AISI 316L). This version requires the use of specific O-rings, whose types vary depending on the size (e.g. OR type 4075 for 1/2″, up to OR type 4225 for 2″).
- Stub without O-ring seat: designated by the suffix “…STCA” (e.g. SFS…STCA for A105, SFX…STCA for AISI 316L).
