Description
Oleo Tecnica Double CETOP Flanges with Blind Stub, Butt-Weld Counter Stub and Metric Screw Set represent an advanced hydraulic connection system specifically designed for high-pressure circuits. The design of this flanged assembly focuses on ensuring absolute leak tightness and a mechanically robust connection between the pipes of the hydraulic system.
Flanging System Configuration
The standard supply package consists of high-precision mechanical components. Specifically, the assembly includes two CETOP flanges forming the external clamping structure. Inside them, a blind stub is housed, featuring a dedicated O-ring seat, which is essential for static fluid sealing. On the opposite side, a butt-weld counter stub is positioned, specifically designed without an O-ring seat. To ensure correct tightening and structural integrity, the set includes four metric socket head cap screws (TCE), eight Grower washers to prevent loosening caused by vibration, four fastening nuts and one calibrated O-ring. The supplied metric screw dimensions increase proportionally with flange size, starting from M6x45 elements for 3/8″ diameters up to robust M24x160 tie bolts for the largest 4″ sizes.
Technical Specifications and Working Pressures
The product range is divided into two performance categories, defined by the maximum recommended working pressure. Series 250 is designed for operating pressures of up to 250 Bar and covers nominal sizes from 3/8″ up to 4″. The weights of the complete assembly in this series range from 0.42 Kg for the smallest versions up to 21.60 Kg for the largest ones.
Series 400 is developed for hydraulic systems subjected to more severe loads, ensuring resistance up to 400 Bar. Also available in sizes from 3/8″ to 4″, it features increased dimensions and weights (from 0.47 Kg to 25.00 Kg) to withstand higher mechanical stresses (for example, M10x70 screws instead of M10x50 for the 1″ size).
It is essential to specify that the maximum working pressure indicated in the catalogue refers exclusively to the sealing capacity of the flange. The actual maximum working pressure of the entire circuit will be determined during system design by the wall thickness and steel quality of the pipe used for assembly.
Materials and Construction Features
The standard ordering designation (identified by the prefix DCET…C…) uses S355 steel for the two CETOP flanges. The internal connection components, namely the blind stub and butt-weld counter stub, are manufactured from A105 steel (or equivalent material) or AISI316L stainless steel.
For operating environments requiring corrosion resistance, the DCETX…C… designation identifies models supplied with AISI316L stubs as standard. Furthermore, upon specific request, the manufacturer also allows the same CETOP flanges to be ordered in AISI316L stainless steel, making it possible to configure a fully oxidation-resistant hydraulic connection.
