Description
Oleo Tecnica Socket-Weld Counter Flanges represent an excellent solution for secure and reliable connections within hydraulic circuits and systems. Designed according to strict manufacturing standards, these components ensure excellent mechanical sealing, which is essential for preventing leaks and maintaining system integrity in industrial applications. The range is divided into two reference categories to meet different flow-rate and pressure-resistance requirements, providing designers with greater flexibility.
Technical Specifications and Working Pressure
Correct component selection is based on an analysis of the maximum recommended working pressure. It is important to emphasise that the stated pressure refers specifically to the structural capacity of the flange. The actual maximum working pressure of the complete system will be determined by the wall thickness and steel quality of the pipe used. Supported pressures vary depending on size and series, starting from 34 Kg/cm² for the larger models and reaching up to 414 Kg/cm² for the high-pressure versions.
Available Series: 3000 and 6000
The range is divided into two main series, distinguished by dimensions and pressure resistance:
- Series 3000: Developed for standard applications, with sizes ranging from 1/2″ to 5″. The maximum recommended working pressure starts at 345 Kg/cm² for the smaller diameters (1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″), progressively decreasing as the pipe section increases, down to 34 Kg/cm² for the largest 5″ size.
- Series 6000: Designed for circuits subjected to greater hydraulic stress. It covers sizes from 1/2″ to 3″. Flanges in this range provide high pressure resistance, supporting 414 Kg/cm² for sizes up to 1″, then decreasing to 200 Kg/cm² for the largest size in the series (3″).
Construction Features and Materials
Operational reliability is ensured by the careful selection of construction materials. Components can be ordered in two specific metallurgical variants:
- S355 Steel: A highly resistant and structurally robust material suitable for demanding industrial hydraulic applications.
- AISI 316L Stainless Steel: A necessary alternative in corrosive environments or where system requirements call for the use of stainless steel.
Ordering Designation and Hole Configurations
To ensure seamless integration, the counter flanges are available with two different fastening-hole configurations:
- Metric threaded holes: Designated with the initial code GFS…S for S355 variants and GFX…S for AISI 316L models.
- UNC threaded holes: Identified by the final suffix SU. Specifically, the designation is GFS…SU for S355 construction and GFX…SU for AISI 316L material.
