Oleo Tecnica BSP Threaded and Socket-Weld Double Flanges represent an advanced technical solution for ensuring extremely strong joints within complex hydraulic systems. Designed according to rigorous industrial standards, these double flanges provide secure pipe coupling through a mixed system: on one side they incorporate a socket-weld flange (weld-in configuration), while on the other they use a counter flange with a GAS (BSP) thread. This design ensures precise assembly and maximum structural stability of the fluid transfer line.

Series 3000 and Series 6000: Pressure Specifications

The product range is divided into two primary families, designed to operate under different working-pressure conditions. Series 3000 covers sizes from 1/2″ up to 5″. In this series, the maximum recommended working pressure starts at 345 Kg/cm² for smaller diameters (such as 1/2″ and 1″), progressively decreasing to 34 Kg/cm² for the largest 5″ diameter.

Series 6000, on the other hand, is designed for hydraulic applications operating at significantly higher pressures. The dimensional range extends from 1/2″ to 3″. In this series, the maximum recommended pressure reaches 414 Kg/cm² for sizes up to 1″1/4, before decreasing to 200 Kg/cm² for the largest 3″ version. As an essential technical specification, the maximum recommended working pressure stated in the catalogue is based exclusively on the structural strength of the flange. The actual maximum working pressure of the complete system will always be determined by the wall thickness and material quality (steel) of the pipe used during installation.

Construction Features and Materials

To meet different operating-environment requirements and chemical compatibility specifications, the flanges are manufactured in two different metallurgical grades. The “S355” designation identifies the use of high-quality carbon steel, while “AISI 316L” identifies models manufactured in stainless steel, suitable for highly corrosive environments.

Hydraulic sealing is ensured through dedicated O-Rings for each size, ranging from OR 4075 for 1/2″ connections up to OR 4537 for the largest sizes. The complete connection kit always includes the socket-weld flange, the counter flange and the dedicated screw set.

Ordering Designation and Fasteners

When ordering, the product coding system makes it possible to define the required variants precisely:

• Codes beginning with the “DFS” root refer to products manufactured in S355 steel, while codes beginning with “DFX” identify the AISI 316L stainless steel range.
• Fasteners are selected through a suffix: “FM” indicates a metric screw set, while “FU” indicates a UNC screw set.
• An important technical restriction concerns the availability of UNC screw sets, which are provided exclusively for carbon steel models.
• Finally, for the Series 6000 DFS508F model (3″ size), the fastening screw set (M30x100) is available exclusively in metric carbon-steel configuration.
