FCIP & FCIM SERIES GEAR PUMPS AND MOTORS

Description

Marzocchi Gear Pumps and Motors FCIP-FCIM represent the highest expression of the company’s heavy-duty line, designed to handle high-pressure applications, demanding duty cycles, and harsh operating conditions. Entirely made of cast iron, these pumps ensure excellent structural robustness, thermal stability, and long service life.

They are ideal for sectors such as mobile machinery, agriculture, compactors, municipal equipment, marine and industrial systems, where reliability and consistent performance are essential.

Displacements and Operating Performance

The FCIP-FCIM range is divided into three groups (FCIP2/3/4 – FCIM2/3/4) with displacements ranging from 4.5 to 90.5 cm³/rev. The operating pressure range reaches up to 310 bar (peak), with intermediate values of 280–300 bar (P2) and 250–280 bar (P1), depending on the size.

  • Rotation speed: from 2000 to 3500 rpm

  • Theoretical flow rates: from 6 to over 130 l/min at 1500 rpm

  • Weights: up to 31.3 kg for the largest models

These performance features make them ideal even for high-dynamic and continuous-use systems.

Integrated Valves and Dedicated Drainage

Each pump can be configured with integrated valves:

  • Adjustable relief valve (VM-E0 / VM-E1)

  • Check valve (VN)

  • Dual anti-cavitation valve with external drain (VN-VN-E1)

  • Combined relief and anti-cavitation valve (VM-VM-E0/XXX-VN)

Drainage can be internal or external, with threadings compliant with ISO 1179-1, ISO 11926-1, or ISO 6149. External drainage is mandatory in reversible configurations.

Configurability and Materials

The versatility of the FCIP-FCIM series is ensured by:

  • Available shafts: T0, S0, C0, C1, S1, S2, S3, in splined, conical or cylindrical configurations

  • Compatible flanges: European, SAE A/B, “A” and “AM”, available with or without KA holes

  • Hydraulic ports: FG, FG-KA, FA, FA-KA, A, AM with various suction/delivery combinations

Available sealing options include:

  • NBR (standard)

  • N-TR (NBR for high suction pressure)

  • VITON® and V-TR (for high temperatures or critical pressures)

  • HNBR on request

Compatible Fluids and Recommended Filtration

The pumps support mineral oils compliant with DIN 51524 and VDMA 24317, with a recommended viscosity range of 15–90 mm²/s, and acceptable limits from 10 to 1000 mm²/s. Permissible fluid temperature: -20 °C / +85 °C (standard), -20 °C / +110 °C (special Viton versions).

It is essential to ensure adequate system filtration (ISO 4406 20/18/15 or better) and proper circuit design to reduce turbulence, contaminants, and cavitation.
