The PQJ Seim Pump is a three-screw positive displacement pump designed for specific applications in hydraulic circuits. This model stands out for its efficiency and reliability, ensuring a constant and pulsation-free fluid transfer, a fundamental feature for precision lubrication systems.

Applications and Compatible Fluids

The typical use of the PQJ Seim Pump is within auxiliary lubrication circuits. It has been engineered to efficiently handle hydraulic and lubricating oils. The pump is designed to operate with fluids having a kinematic viscosity between 10 and 400 cSt and an operating temperature ranging from 0 to 100°C. For viscosity or temperature values outside this range, it is necessary to consult the manufacturer. The standard rotation direction is clockwise, viewed from the motor connection flange side.

Construction Features and Materials

  • Pump Body: Made of Aluminum-Silicon alloy, with the flange integrated directly into the body for greater structural strength.

The flow rate ranges from 3 to 38 l/min (equivalent to 0.8 – 10 USGPM), depending on the specific model and rotational speed, which can range from 750 to 3600 rpm. The maximum permissible discharge pressure is 10 bar (145 psi) in continuous operation, while suction pressure must remain between -0.2 and 1 bar. It is important to note that pressure limits may be reduced depending on the viscosity of the fluid and the operating speed. The average noise level is low, at 56 dB(A) at 2900 rpm. For optimal operation, a maximum suction filtration of 60 microns (non-abrasive contaminant) is recommended, in compliance with ISO 4406 19/16 and NAS 10 standards.

Mounting Configurations and Versions

The PQJ pump series offers different configurations to adapt to multiple installation requirements. Two main versions are available:

  1. Hollow Shaft Version: Designed for direct coupling with standard motors size 71, with B14 or B34 flange. Reference models for this configuration include PQJ020#3… and PQJ025#3….
  2. Extended Shaft Version: This variant is supplied with lantern and flexible coupling for coupling with MEC 71 and MEC 80/90 size motors. Here too, the reference models are PQJ020#3… and PQJ025#3….
