The Seim PCXA Pump is a three-screw pump designed to meet the most demanding applications in the Oil & Gas, industrial, and marine sectors. Developed in compliance with SEIM and API 676 standards (II and III edition), this pump represents a robust and versatile solution for handling a wide range of technical fluids.

Construction Features and High-Quality Materials

The design of the Seim PCXA Pump focuses on durability and precision. Its structure is engineered to ensure consistent performance under severe operating conditions.

• Body and Flanges: Made of Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, or Duplex to resist corrosion and withstand high operating pressures.
• Screws: The core of the pump consists of a central drive screw and two driven side screws, made of hardened steel (nitrided steel) to ensure high wear resistance.
• Liner: The internal insert (liner) is available in Cast Iron GG25 or Carbon Steel, materials that provide excellent fluid compatibility and long service life.
• Seal: The pump can be equipped with a single or double mechanical seal. A cartridge seal version compliant with API 682 is also available.
• Bearing: Equipped with a radial ball bearing to support axial and radial loads, with standard lubrication by the pumped fluid or, on request, self-lubricated.

The PCXA series has been engineered to offer a wide operating range, adapting to multiple plant requirements.

Flow Rates and Pressures

• Flow Rate: From 10 to 5400 l/min (equivalent to 0.6 – 324 m³/h).
• Discharge Pressure: Up to a maximum of 30 barg (436 psi).
• Suction Pressure: Between -0.5 and 10 barg.
• Differential Pressure: Allowable up to 16 bar in continuous duty at 1450 and 2900 rpm.

Compatible Fluids and Specifications

• Fluid Compatibility: The pump is suitable for pumping mineral and lubricating oils, hydraulic oils, diathermic oils, organic esters (DFD-U) and phosphate esters (HFDR), water-glycol, light and heavy fuel oils, asphalt, and bitumen. Solid content must be 0%.
• Viscosity Range: Operates in a standard range from 5 to 1500 cSt. For the standard Italian version, the range is from 10 to 400 cSt, with special versions available up to 5000 cSt.
• Operating Temperature: Designed to work with fluids between 0 and 120°C.

Installation and Compliance

The Seim PCXA Pump offers installation flexibility and meets major international standards.

• Mounting: Available in horizontal foot-mounted version (M1001 B3) or flanged for horizontal/vertical mounting (IM3011 V1).
• IN/OUT Connections: Connection flanges available according to ANSI 150 B16.5 or DIN UNI EN 1092-1 standards.
• Drive: Can be directly coupled to AC or DC motors, steam turbines, or diesel engines.
• Certifications: The pump complies with ATEX (Ex II 2G T4), CU TR 010-2011, CU TR 012-2011 regulations and bears CE and EAC markings.
