The construction architecture of the Miselli Brass Breather Plug Series 31 A is based on the use of metal materials selected to operate in industrial environments. The body of the accessory, which acts as both a filling plug and a breather plug, is made entirely of brass. The top of the component is equipped with a protective cap made of white galvanized steel. The primary function of this external cap is to provide protective action, physically preventing foreign bodies from entering the hydraulic circuit. The core of the device consists of a labyrinth made of aluminum alloy. To ensure maximum tightness in the threaded coupling, the plug uses a sealing gasket that can be supplied in two construction variants: aluminum or special FASIT 202 or ROLLMART fiber.
The mechanical operation of the device is based on volumetric compensation: the breather plug allows free air passage from inside to outside the system and, during vacuum conditions, from outside to inside. The technical peculiarity of Series 31 A lies in the dual action of its internal assembly. The model houses an internal filter made of sintered bronze spheres. This porosity is designed to clearly prevent environmental impurities from entering the tank, particularly protecting the delicate mechanisms of oil-bath gears. At the same time, the aluminum alloy labyrinth performs an essential oil splash guard function. During system operation, the labyrinth dynamically counteracts the escape of lubricating fluid, retaining it inside the housing.
