Grices CL Series Hydraulic Cylinders are welded cylinders ideal for the mobile sector and applications without high fatigue stress. Individually subjected to hydraulic and electronic testing, they ensure high reliability and durability. They provide a nominal pressure of 14 MPa, bore sizes from 40 to 100 mm and strokes of up to 4000 mm. Manufactured with durable materials and high-performance seals, they ensure consistent efficiency. The available product codes are: CL/40/20, CL/40/25, CL/50/25, CL/50/30, CL/60/30, CL/60/35, CL/70/35, CL/70/40, CL/80/40, CL/80/50, CL/100/50, CL/100/60.
Grices CL Series Hydraulic Cylinders feature a welded tie-rod construction specifically designed for use in the mobile sector or in operating environments without high-cycle, continuous fatigue stress. Every mechanical component undergoes strict inspections, and the entire production output is subjected to rigorous hydraulic and electronic testing on 100% of the cylinders manufactured, ensuring high standards of technical reliability and product service life for the end user.
The welding process is carried out by highly qualified and certified technical personnel using dedicated specialist equipment. The components include a precision-machined steel barrel, a cast-iron guide and a chrome-plated steel piston rod. The sealing system uses premium-quality seals supplied by leading manufacturers, ensuring excellent performance and easy international availability during maintenance. More specifically, the wipers and piston rod seals are made of polyurethane, while the steel piston uses nitrile rubber seals and O-rings that can be adapted according to the system fluid, operating speed and frequency.
The CL Series hydraulic system is sized to deliver power at a nominal pressure of 14 MPa and withstand a maximum pressure of 21 MPa. The dimensional range is highly scalable, covering bore sizes from 40 to 100 mm and extension strokes of up to 4000 mm. The standard design features a single piston rod, while a double-rod configuration is available upon specific request. Furthermore, to provide maximum mechanical flexibility in structural calculations, each bore size is available with two different piston rod diameters.
Mechanical connection to the frame or system is facilitated by six main cylinder body mounting types:
EB (Basic)
FA (Front flange)
OC (Eye mounting)
CM (Male clevis)
CS (Spherical clevis)
OI (Intermediate trunnion)
Three different mounting versions are also available for the piston rod end: the threaded version with male thread (M), the eye with welded bushing (B), and the welded spherical joint interface (N).
Grices CL Series Hydraulic Cylinders meet modern automatic control requirements. Available design upgrades include an internal position transducer with an analogue signal output, configurable as 4/20 mA or 0/10 V, which is ideal for stroke monitoring. The specifications also include dedicated air bleed valves and optional piston rod surface treatments, such as hardening with chrome plating or chemical nickel plating combined with chrome plating, to maximise the system’s chemical and mechanical resistance.
