Materials and Construction Features
The main body of the knurled-head threaded cap is entirely manufactured and molded from high-performance thermoplastic material, specifically Polyamide 66. This polymer ensures excellent mechanical properties and remarkable chemical resistance to fluids typically used in the hydraulic sector. The integrated dipstick, designed for constant fluid monitoring, is made of galvanized iron or grey phosphated steel. The dipstick has a round section, ensuring proper structural rigidity during prolonged use. From a visual and functional standpoint, the caps are supplied as standard in black and feature, molded on the knurled head, the standardized graphic symbol for oil filling, clearly accompanied by the wording “OIL”. Hydraulic sealing and strict prevention of fluid leakage to the outside are entrusted to a sealing gasket consisting of an O-Ring. This gasket is made of NBR synthetic rubber with a specific hardness of 70 Shore.
Available Variants: TCAZ and TCASZ
The Miselli product line is divided into two main configurations to meet the different and stringent requirements of hydraulic systems. The TCAZ series identifies standard knurled oil filler caps, equipped exclusively with a dipstick for measurement. The TCASZ variant, on the other hand, identifies knurled oil filler caps with dipstick that also integrate a breather system. In this specific version (TCASZ), the breather hole is made laterally, positioned directly on the outer knurling of the cap. The diameter of this side breather hole ranges from 2 mm to 3.5 mm, sized according to the overall size and thread of the selected cap.
Performance and Operating Conditions
These hydraulic components are rigorously designed and tested to operate over a wide thermal range, ensuring application versatility. The permitted continuous operating temperature ranges from a minimum of -30°C up to a maximum peak of +100°C. This extended thermal range ensures the perfect dimensional stability of Polyamide 66 and maintains the elastic properties of the NBR 70 Shore O-Ring gasket unchanged, even in industrial applications subject to significant thermal stress.
Dipstick Dimensions and Customizations
The threaded connections available in the catalog cover a wide range of international standards to suit every tank. The supply includes models with cylindrical Gas threads (from G 1/4″, G 3/8″, G 1/2″, G 3/4″, G 1″, G 1 1/4″ up to G 2″) and models with metric threads (M14x1.5, M16x1.5, M18x1.5, M20x1.5, and M22x1.5). Overall dimensions vary in proportion to the selected thread: for example, the height of the external head (h2) ranges from 20 mm up to 68.5 mm for the largest models, while the height of the threaded section (h1) ranges from 9 mm to 16 mm. The metal dipstick is always supplied with a standard length of 200 mm. However, to meet specific design and dimensional requirements of customer systems, the manufacturer offers the option to request sizes other than the standard range. In addition, for even more accurate fluid control, it is possible to request the engraving of specific level marks for minimum and maximum indication (min-max). This important technical customization is available exclusively for a minimum order quantity of 250 pieces.
