FSG UFI Suction Filters: Compact Solution for Side Mounting

The FSG series by UFI Filters has been developed to meet suction filtration requirements in applications where space constraints or tank configuration require side mounting. These filters are installed directly on the tank wall, below the oil level, ensuring effective protection of the pump against coarse contaminants present in the fluid.

Design Features and Materials

FSG filters combine different materials to optimize performance and durability:

• Housing: Made of aluminum alloy, it ensures structural strength and compatibility with industrial environments.
• Cover: Made of reinforced polyamide, it offers lightness and easy access for maintenance.
• Seals: Made of NBR (Nitrile), they ensure sealing with most standard hydraulic fluids.
• Filter Element: Replaceable, made with FormulaUFI.CELL impregnated cellulose filter media, offering a filtration rating of 10 µm.

Performance Specifications

Despite their compact size, the FSG series delivers notable performance:

• Flow Rate: Handles flows up to 70 l/min, suitable for auxiliary or medium-power circuits.
• Collapse Pressure: The filter element withstands a differential collapse pressure of 1 MPa (10 bar), ensuring structural integrity even under critical conditions.
• Operating Temperature: The operating range extends from -25°C to +110°C.

Compatibility and Variants

FSG UFI suction filters are compatible with HH, HL, HM, HV and HTG fluids according to ISO 6743/4. The series includes two main sizes (11 and 13), both with a 1″1/4 BSP threaded connection.

An option without bypass valve (W) is available, as well as preparation for clogging indicators (plug, vacuum gauge or vacuum switch), allowing continuous monitoring of filter conditions.
