The operating principle of the Miselli Magnetic Cap TM Series is based on magnetic separation applied to metallic particles. The device must be installed at the bottom of the system’s oil chamber. During normal operating cycles, the magnet continuously attracts and retains ferrous particles that are naturally generated due to wear between moving mechanical components. The removal of these abrasive particles from the working fluid helps maintain optimal lubrication, limiting premature component wear and stabilizing the performance of the hydraulic circuit over time.
Construction Features and Materials
The structure of the hex-head threaded cap uses a high-resistance thermoplastic material, specifically Polyamide 66, which provides excellent mechanical properties for tightening. The core of the filtering system consists of a magnet made of anisotropic ferrite. The anchoring of this magnet within the cavity of the threaded portion is mechanically secured by an aluminum rivet, ensuring stability even in the presence of vibrations or turbulent flows. To ensure perfect hydraulic sealing and prevent fluid leakage, the caps are equipped with a flat washer sealing gasket. This sealing element is made of special asbestos-free fiber, complying with strict safety standards. The component is supplied as standard in black and features the marking “MAGNETIC” for clear identification of its function.

The production range covers a wide spectrum of dimensional specifications to integrate with different types of ports and tanks. Standard models with Gas threads include the variants G1/4 (model TM/14), G3/8 (model TM/38), G1/2 (model TM/12), G3/4 (model TM/34), and G1 (model TM/1). Analyzing the technical data, the TM/14 model features a 17 mm wrench size and a diameter of 20 mm, while the largest version, TM/1, requires a 35 mm wrench and has an outer diameter of 42 mm. A standard metric variant is also available, model TM/1415, characterized by an M14X1.5 thread. To meet specific design requirements, additional sizes with metric threads M16, M18, M20, and M22 are available upon request and for adequate quantities.
