The MP Filter FHA 051 Series is designed to protect sensitive components in high-pressure hydraulic circuits, operating reliably up to 560 bar with maximum flow rates of 150 l/min. Intended for vertical in-line installation with female threaded connections up to 3/4″, it offers multiple configurations equipped with bypass, check, or reverse flow valves. The steel body with thermo-chemical treatment ensures extreme durability, while microfiber or mesh filter elements guarantee optimal cleanliness levels.
High-pressure in-line filters are essential components for ensuring the safety and longevity of the most sensitive parts within hydraulic circuits. The MP Filter FHA 051 Series is typically used in delivery lines, making it ideal for integration into heavy-duty industrial equipment and mobile machinery.
This filter series is designed to withstand maximum operating pressures up to 56 MPa (560 bar) and can handle flow rates up to 150 l/min. To withstand these severe operating conditions, both the head and the housing, as well as the bypass valve, are entirely constructed from steel subjected to a specific thermo-chemical treatment. Structural reliability is validated through rigorous testing: filters withstand a test pressure of 84 MPa (840 bar), feature a minimum burst pressure of 168 MPa (1680 bar), and are fatigue-tested to endure up to 100,000 cycles with pressures varying from 0 to 560 bar. Installation is intended for in-line mounting exclusively in a vertical position.
The hydraulic fluid flow through the filter element follows a direction from the outside to the inside (from OUT to IN). The MP Filter FHA 051 Series can be configured with several valve options to suit specific hydraulic circuit dynamics. A bypass valve is available, calibrated to open at a pressure of 0.6 MPa (6 bar) with a tolerance of ±10%, designed to relieve excessive pressure drops across the filter element. Alternatively or additionally, a check valve can be included to protect the system from reverse flow, or a reverse flow valve that allows bidirectional fluid passage within the filter housing while leaving the return flow unfiltered.
The system supports different filter media variants to achieve the desired cleanliness level. Options include inorganic microfiberglass, available with filtration ratings of 3, 6, 10, 16, and 25 µm (identified by codes A03, A06, A10, A16, A25), and metal mesh at 25 µm (code M25). Depending on pressures and the presence or absence of bypass, low-collapse filter elements (series N and R, resistant up to 20 bar) or high-collapse elements with external support (series S, resistant up to 210 bar) are used. Standard sealing is provided by NBR gaskets (series A), replaceable upon request with FPM versions (series V) for specific chemical requirements. The permitted operating temperature range varies from -25 °C to +110 °C. Finally, for continuous monitoring of element conditions, visual, electrical, or electronic differential clogging indicators can be installed.
