The MP Filter FHF 325 Series protects sensitive components in high-pressure hydraulic systems. It ensures an operating pressure of up to 350 bar (35 MPa) and a maximum flow rate of 550 l/min. The base-mounted design simplifies filter element replacement, developed according to SAE J2066 for HF4 elements. It is compatible with temperatures from -25°C to +110°C and offers threaded, flanged, or manifold connections for flexible integration.
The MP Filter FHF 325 Series represents a high-pressure filtration solution developed to protect sensitive components integrated into the hydraulic systems of mobile machinery and industrial equipment. Specifically designed for vertical installation, these filters connect directly to the system delivery lines through dedicated hydraulic fittings or flanged interfaces. The design features base mounting, a technical solution that significantly facilitates maintenance operations and the rapid replacement of the filter element.
The performance of this component ensures a maximum working pressure of up to 35 MPa, equivalent to 350 bar, and it is capable of handling a maximum fluid flow rate of up to 550 l/min. To validate structural reliability in critical applications, the filter is subjected to severe testing: the test pressure reaches 52.5 MPa (525 bar), while the guaranteed minimum burst pressure reaches 105 MPa (1050 bar). The component also passes a pulsating pressure fatigue test of 1,000,000 cycles, with pressure variations from 0 to 35 MPa (350 bar).
The materials selected for the filter body construction ensure maximum resistance to high mechanical stress. The head is made of phosphated cast iron, the housing is made of phosphated steel, while the cover is made of cast iron subjected to thermo-chemical treatment. The system includes a bypass valve, made of brass and steel, set to open at a pressure of 0.6 MPa (6 bar) with a tolerance of 10%. This valve is designed to relieve excessive pressure drop across the filter media.
The filter element is developed in strict compliance with SAE J2066, specific for HF4 type elements. The internal fluid dynamics provide for the fluid flow through the cartridge to follow a direction from outside to inside (OUT to IN). The user can select different filter media options: inorganic microfiber for fine filtration grades of 3, 6, 10, 16, and 25 microns, or metal mesh for 25 micron filtration. Low-collapse elements of the N series feature a resistance of 20 bar (Delta p) and are mandatory for use in filters equipped with a bypass valve.
The filter offers excellent integration versatility thanks to multiple connection types: 1 1/2 inch female threaded connections, 1 1/2 inch flanged connections, and manifold connections supporting flow rates up to 550 l/min. The standard operating temperature range spans from -25°C to +110°C. Seals are available in the standard NBR configuration (series A), with an FPM option (series V) for specific chemical compatibility requirements. The system supports the installation of differential clogging indicators, available in visual, electrical, and electronic versions. The overall filter weights range from 23.90 kg to 41.47 kg depending on the selected length (1, 2, or 3), with internal volumes ranging from 3.50 to 8.11 cubic decimeters.
